Parisian Spill
My pal, Spill is a wonderful artist. My character, Spill, is based on her. Her warm spirit, whimsical style, and good heart could not go without cartoon documentation.
Here is my interpretation of Spill’s work … via Squid Row Spill.
You simply must visit Spill’s website> http://spillart.net/ …to see how fun her art is!
Ahhh…. Paris, I just finished watching “midnight in Paris” and it brought back a flood of memories. Yes one day I will return there.
Randie, Spill, and Kai should save up and go to Paris together.
Squid,
Paris is a place you can get homesick for without ever having been there! But once you have been there, and fallen in love with it…well, you’re hooked.
I know I am, anyway…
Thank you my dear friend for tooning me! It’s been a joy and an honor to know you and see all of your work develop over the years! Keep doin what you’re doin! You’re super talented and sweet as banana cream pie! We WILL hang out in France and have a show one fine day! Love you Bridgett!!
Great job making the sketch art look water-colorish and felt-penned.
Hmm, dueling sketchbooks?
Squid… Isn’t that a fun film. I loved the backgrounds and place-settings! But there was one fault I did find… Picasso’s French wouldn’t have been THAT good. He was ridiculed for his poor French.
Jude… I’m hooked as well! Sighhhh…
Spill… It’s a plan! We will clink glasses somewhere along the Siene! …over some awesome crepe! Then we will attend our art opening! Love you back, Spill! You are amazing, indeed!
stick… tanks… yah! dueling sketchbooks. At Stumptown, they do art battles where cartoonists teams draw at each other… it’s quite entertaining. An easel with paper is provided along with Sharpies… and then a topic with some specifics… and away they go… drawing to the length of a playing song… and then the audience judges. It’s fun!
