Painting In Bed
When I was a kid, I used to try to do my homework while I sat in bed. Bad idea. Bed is where you sleep. So I would always nod off while reading about the history of South America or something. And bed is certainly NO place to paint!

Au contraire! I didn’t paint, but I sketched, and I studied my way through high school on my bed. I shared a small bedroom with one of my brothers, and it was the only quiet place in the house. There was no room for a desk or even a chair. The library was for being dragged to the restroom and beaten up. I went to a rough school.
Pierre Fermat and Rene Descartes each did some notable mathematics while in bed.
While I was off sick from primary school, my wonderful mum would shuttle books for me between school and home, and I ended up finishing the reading scheme way ahead of everyone else 🙂
On a separate note, it’s kind of odd that Brig’s commenting the way she is about the comic, as if she was a different person from the Brig drawing the strip. Leaves me wondering whether she’s hinting as to what’s going to happen, or if Brig really is two different people in the same body 😉
