During open studios a few weeks back… I had a nice family come to visit The Cartoonery… Parents and their two third-grader-ish kids. The boy was tired and listless the whole time. Turns out he wasn’t feeling well, and… lost his “Subway” right there on my floor. They’d just come back from their school’s Harvest Fest. As the parents cleaned up they laughed that I had some material for my comic… hee hee. Sure do. This one’s for you guys!
Really… they were nice people… and this toon is funning the situation.
Food definitely tastes better going down than coming up, looks better too.
Something about still-digesting food, covered in stomach acid, along with it’s own unique funky smell that makes you just want to cough up some of your own.
It’s like yawning, or laughing, once one person starts, everyone feels a need to join in.
Ever see the pie eating contest barf-o-rama in “Stand By Me?” Yeah, like that.
Hey, good news, I think I figured out why some links embed on this site and others don’t.
If your link has a slash at the end…it stays a link.
If your link has no slash at the end…it embeds.
That and only one link per message or the comment section rejects it.
Ah, brilliant, now for another piece of pie…uh, oh…uggggh…my stomach’s feeling queasy…
I chose to avoid the barf thing…eeeeewwwwww kids tend to do that a lot or something?
The Space Bar.
There are many characters that can be found in space, like Han Solo, Captain Kirk, or Wall-e, but there is only one character that hangs out at the Space Bar. If you look for him, you know that he is there, but he rarely can be seen. He never leaves a mark and he never is obscene. He blends in with the background and is given very little thought. Use him with great care, remember what you’ve been taught. He is very useful and the key to any type of communication. Some people forget about him andthatcanleadtofrustration. If you have two or more words to say, he won’t let them run together, but sometimes he will step aside when you and others gather. He needs no rhyme or reason, he doesn’t need much room. Just a little space every now and then, to avoid a certain doom.
If you search for the Space Bar, you could look until you are bored. Just remember this, he’s the biggest member of the keyboard!
You can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.
Could a “Fish called Leif” create the same devastation at the Harvest Festival?
(scene comes from Steven King’s Stand by Me)
