*hehe* I know you won’t. Anyway I already read a funny, honest-to-gosh knitting comic. It’s called “The Knit Princess”. Google it, you squiddies who either love knitting or doubt a funny comic about knitting can exist.
As for today’s comic; have we seen any of the Pfaff’s knitting efforts yet? (Trying to remember.)
Pasha… “Word to ya Mother” … One of my favorite SNL skits was Nat X (Chris Rock) and Kevin Bacon playing Vanilla Ice.
Pete… this is, believe it or not, a “family friendly strip.” … Knitting allowed.
… to answer, not yet. We need to, don’t we. Maybe Enid and Maggie need to get together and knit stuff in the Craft Lounge.
(TKP… the drawing style of that comic changed quite a bit from beginning to end, yah?) THanks for the sharing.
Brig,
Yeah TKP has swapped artisty hands a few times. But the story plugs on. I have it on reliable grounds that when she goes to web comic conventions, her core of readers are always there to buy up everything she has for sale. My friend was the one that got her started on the web and set her up. He has a couple of his own web comics that do very well on the internet, but he can’t hold a candle to TKP when it comes to con sales. Drives him nuts. (Even while also feeling happy for her.)
For a minute there I thought you were having a crossover with “Worsted for Wear” but it was for naught. Maybe I should point them in the direction of the Pfaff’s. Sounds like the Pfaff’s is going to have a pretty good inventory of knitting supplies. 🙂
And Pete, TKP is on my list of things to read along with about a hundred other comics to catch up on, so no spoilers please.
Pete & Orlah… Goodness… wow… TKP & Worsted for Wear… I had no idea that Knitters had their own comics… but I should have suspected… there are comics for every interest! … and good comics, too! Smiles!
Figured it out… the terms are also used in costuming….
Been a long time, but I still read the literature…. Came up again because I am working on steampunk costumes with my girlfriend. One of my current costumes is tweeds….
Word… snicker, couldn’t resist.
No! Don’t turn Squid Row into a… a… knitting comic! Pleeeeease!

Can we get some footnotes or subtitles to translate knit-speak?
Dada… try over at Etsy.

Okay, now I’m disturbed – I understood all that, and I don’t even know how to knit. :O
The Auld Grump
While I was reading the first panel I was like, ‘wha?’
Grump… that is weird! You could be a closeted knitter and you don’t even know it…. how can you feel guilty for something you are unawares of?
Jack… dirty bird. Squawk!
Figured it out… the terms are also used in costuming….

The Auld Grump
Ah ha! Grump… you put the two together… yay fun Steampunk!
