thanks, squid- the word is out!
seriously (and how can one be anything else when talking of april fools day)
with this crowd, it seems somhow…appropriate.
squid feller…. Oh, I see…
Firedome… Well, a happy EARLY birthday to you! Do you own a jester hat? That would be a good look for you… with the sideburns and all.
Dada… Really? did it REALLY waste your youth? …or are you just blaming the syllabuses?
Well, yes and no on March 25 – New Years was a long celebration that began on March 25th and culminated on April 1st. So either day works, depending on whether you count from the beginning or the end.
But the days preceding April 1st were typically considered Intercalary – not belonging to any year…. Most Intercalary days were to consolidate solar and lunar calandars, but I think that in this case it was to make the paperwork easier…. 😛
April 1st., Grand opening of Pfaffs Arts and crafts, April fools day, And most importantly, Firedome’s ( Frank) Birthday!!!
Syllabus…ugh. Lordy, that just makes me think of all the pointless yet “required” college courses that wasted my youth.
April 1st used to be New Years – up until Pope Gregory.
Seems appropriate enough to me. 🙂
Oh, no it used to be March 25.
Yes, in the middle of the month.
