Not Enough
Back in the days when I worked full-time retail, Christmastime was always so rushed… so obnoxiously busy that I could barely look up to notice the holiday passing. I’d get to Christmas Day and want to have a re-do of the holiday season… so I could actually enjoy it!
Hope yours was as blissful as mine.
Staying with my parents during Christmas vacation in my home town. Had a visit yesterday from my younger brother and his extended family. I had only seen pictures of his second wife’s daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. Well, they all showed up yesterday for supper.
Lots of fun and activity. Then watched the Packers show the Bears how to score points and not waste the clock.
It was a pretty good day.
Brigett – As someone who has done full time retail I totally get what you mean.
Hello, Squiddies All! And a belated Christmas and a most merry week between holidays to you all.
My apologies for not seeing to my comments for the past three days or so. I have a sob story. I came down with an obnoxiously horrible migraine on Christmas Eve morning… I missed a wonderful party, and some of Christmas. I feel like Randie, here… I missed out on the fun stuff… the stuff you wait most the season for. So I haven’t gotten to my comments until now.
Denny… We speak the same language then.
Joe… It sounds like you had a nice holiday! YAy!
EofO… blissful… not quite (BUT I am so happy you had a blissful time of Christmas)… I am grateful that it wasn’t worse and that I got a bit of a reprieve on Christmas morning.
Joe… Yikes, yours started out as a “carbon copy” of mine. Well, staying with my mom, dad has passed away. Anyway… What’s worse, I actually remember making “carbon copies” using typewriters…oh the humanity. Got my nephew a really cool surfer straw beach cowbow hat complete with sea shell head band. It looked so cool, even good on him, but the surfer-dude could not have been more unimpressed. Did not see the Packer win, but by now they’ve become pretty redundant. Went out for dinner instead.
brig… Sorry to hear about the brain spasm attack, seems like you’re feeling better and more spritely. Good thing, as your Christmas was in Salinas but your New Year’s will be in Hawaii. Might want to stray from Randie’s example and not over-compensate on New Year’s Eve….hic.
Ooo, Brig–so sorry to hear that! Bummer of a time for a migraine–not that there’s ever a convenient one, but at Christmas…yuck! I do hope yo’re feeling better. Huggles to you!
It was a drag, indeed… and I feel like I missed Christmas. Poo.
