*ugh!* I feel for Randie right now. I took two Tylenol PM last night and got a GOOD night’s sleep, but I’m always sooooo slooooow waking up after taking Tylenol PM. (Since I only take the stuff on very rare ocassion.) I am so in need of coffee right now, I can’t even stick the needle in my arm for my coffee intravenous drip. *yawn!* Guess I’ll need to use a cup…. *yaaaaawn!*
I’m a total coffee hound. (100% Kona is my favorite, hang the expense!) When I’m feeling especially lonely or down, a nice steaming vanilla latte and a croissant, served by a nice chipper barista can go a long way toward bringing the sun out!
No, but I sure support a big chunk of it! lol. One of my daughters was a barista for awhile, and my wife and I hung out there a lot. I learned a great deal about the business end of it, as well as the art and science of preparing and serving it. One reason I’m a fan of coffee house settings in comics. I love the communal atmosphere; especially when associated with a college or bookstore.
Kona, I like you! Coffee houses, whether in real life, or in comics… are great places to learn, observe and hang out in! I dig them for the same reasons you do! Bien!
And a coffee house is where Pastis goes to write Pearls and where you’d find C. Schulz as well. They’ve served the same purpose for over 200 years now!

Cheerful Baristas deserve biggy tips! Kona, are you in the coffee industry?
