Noodles
Top Ramen… again. I used to eat the stuff more regular-like… I actually like the noodles… but the seasoning is pure salt! A little bit of chicken broth in a box along with the noodles and some frozen peas and corn… some herbs… mmmmm.

I don’t know why the ramen manufacturers have to make their seasonings so darned salty… I can almost feel my arteries hardening when I just look at a ramen packet…
If it’s true that “we are what we eat”, then I’m cheap, fast and easy, lol! I used to buy cup noodle by the case; 12 for $3.00, how can you beat it? But the salt does kind of gag me now, so I’m more into cold cereal and soy milk. Ah, the life of a bachelor!
“Ramen noodles: simultaneously saving and shortening your life since 1958” 😉
(For the record, the date comes from the Wikipedia article on ramen: In 1958, instant noodles were invented by Momofuku Ando, the Taiwanese-Japanese founder and chairman of Nissin Foods. Named the greatest Japanese invention of the 20th century in a Japanese poll, instant ramen allowed anyone to make this dish simply by adding boiling water.)
High in salt content, true, but off the scale in oh-so-yummy salty goodness! I often scramble an egg into mine to give it more protein — almost like egg drop soup! Mmmmmmm!
I’ve done the egg thing, too! I like to trick out the noodles with herbage and frozen corn. You can really class the meal up with just a few additions!
Thanks for the noodle lesson Astragali.
Moi aussi, j’aime manger des nouilles !
I get them from a chinese supermarket in the 13th district in Paris, which is quite close to my University.
Recently, I ate one with two fried eggs : it’s delicious ! I prefer to boil the water in a saucepan, then put the noodle.
Ninjayanyan: Do you also live in the 13th arrondissement? It is a part of Paris I’ve not been to.
