Mouse. You are most employable while only recently laid off. (Actually you are most employable while employed, but no use looking back.) You want to search now.
Pete… Yeh, drifting apart. I’m curious about Grace too. Maybe she’s taken to delivering (half-eaten) pizzas and demanding big tips. Or perhaps she’s befriended a bunch of lawyers (law firm) who’ve taken her under their wing. In either case the outcome will be the same…half-eaten pies with steep delivery charges.
And, in speaking of vanished characters…
brig… It’s a shame that Hostess went belly-up and Twinkies disappeared off the shelves but there are plenty of bidders looking to bring Twinkies back. Just saying…
Some days Comic Press “missed schedule”s… and don’t post a toon…. some days I get TWO toons instead of one! When uploading strips last week, I got my dates mixed up. I fix it in Comic Press, but somehow, Comic Press says “meh… I’ll just run them both.” Sigh. I’ll leave them both up.
Mary/Beetle… yes, he’d be better to not let too many days go by on the couch in his mom’s basement.
Pete… drifting on the troubled waters of Cypress Bay. The bay waters this time of year are often dark blue with white-caps and a very cold wind.
stick… your comments sum up my “after Christmas sabbatical”… I sort of went limp on the holiday… it lasted just past New Years. I decided that I needed to relax and blow off steam.
Pizza delivery would be a decent job for Grace. You spend a lot of time in the car (providing the pizza joint provides one-Grace doesn’t have one)… and very little time with the customer.
… as far as Twinkies go… I rather enjoyed Hostess products as a child… plump little kid that I was. Fruit pies plugged by Super Friends, Ding Dongs (heavenly) were highly prized, Zingers were to be savored, Cupcakes with their zig-zag (the frosting was awesome!)… and Twinkies… not entirely my favorite… but enjoyable. I’ve moved up in the world, I guess… See’s Candies, dark dark chocolate and Judy’s cookies are my new downfall.
On the Twinkies front, there are solidifying rumors-turning-to-fact that the Hostess brand is to be bought up by Taskykake, a beloved Philadelphian snack food company that was itself bought up recently by Flour Foods, which is based in Georgia. This would be a very good thing, since it means that Twinkies and other Hostess products would go back into production, most likely unchanged in any way.

Mary,
Mouse probably thinks the online actions are an all-out active job search.
The crew’s drifting apart, and doing pretty much as expected. I’m really curious to see what becomes of Grace.
Oh Boy, double feature day.
Top cartoon:
Online job hunting can be hugely time consuming and taxing. The guy’s got to relax and blow off steam.
Bottom cartoon:
Cleaning work can be hugely time consuming and frustrating. The girl’s got to relax and blow off steam.

brig… Yeh, with either of my envisioned Grace jobs, she’s a shark.
And, as far as Twinkies having disappeared but already being on their way back… I was inferring about a certain cat.

Blasting zombies can seem far more realistic than trying to find jobs on-line.
Am I the only one whose brain tried to equate ‘Coffee Joint Janitor’ with ‘Juke Joint Jezabel’?
