Moving Truck
Being the child of a Marine, I know something about moving. Moving when I was a kid was nothing like this, though. The hired mover people would come in and pack up your stuff and haul it to wherever the military sent you.
But I always enjoyed pulling stuff out of boxes (it was like Christmas with stuff you already had) and “recreating” my room. Plus, you’d have all these cool boxes to play with, too! Box forts rock! … so do box spaceships!
Now you need Granny Clampett and her chair stacked on top!
Or an evil Twinkie hiding in one of the boxes!
Ha… Yah, Granny Clampett…
Twinkie… will most certainly be on the other end of this move wreaking havoc!
Ryan ought to rent a moving van! I’m not sure, though, how he’s going to get everything across the Atlantic Ocean.
Does Randie even have room for all this stuff?
Brig,
I sent you pictures.
“It’s not a problem until it’s a problem.”
Yogi Berra would be proud. *thumbup*
Though I know nothing about moving, I do indeed know something about box forts and spaceships among other things. Hee hee hee! I’m a box artist!
Uh,
It’s not a problem until it’s a problem?
Having been a college student and having kept post college friendships, has found me taking part in oh so many moves. Sure, some had moving vans. Those for folks who had whole rental houses worth of stuff to move, or involved multiple party moves to a new residence. Most were of the kick-in the use of your personal wheels for just one guy’s or girl’s stuff ilk. Having had a little CRX 2-seater during some of ’em, sure saved me from having to do much personal vehicle transporatation. smile Still, I’ve been there to witness snapped bungee cords and file-box/furniture roadkill. Have heard of blown tires and even a broken axle, though. yeouch.
Well, after the muscles are worn, the feet are toast and the nerves are shot; there’s always the reward of za (aka, pizza) and suds. Which brings us back, full-circle, to that bit of yogi-ism,
It’s not a problem until it’s a problem!
I credit “It’s not a problem until it’s a problem” to David (you made it to the funnies, D). It’s his saying… and to him I give the credit.
Stick… CRX? I wanted one of them, back in the day. They wouldn’t be much help in the moving department.
Moving vans are for people who don’t know people with trucks. (I am a truck-owner… but my truck is on the skids at the moment, so I can’t help you move).
