Monet
Happy Birthday, Monet!
Did you know that the term “Impressionist” was coined from Monet’s painting “Impressionist Sunrise” … a critic labeled Monet & the group of artists associated with Monet as “the Impressionists” as a put-down. Who got the last laugh? Monet went on to make a VERY comfortable living for himself.
She is getting craaaazyyyy… I don’t have time to writing now, Jules Verne keep speaking to me. Thank god at least I am normal here.
The only sounds I hear now, are the snow plows leaving little icebergs in the streets for the tiny fuel-efficient plastic cars to wreck upon just like the Titanic. They finally cleared the cul-de-sac about half an hour ago. That’s why I’m up at this hour. The snow is slowly melting. Another four months and it will be gone entirely. Can’t wait!
I think Randie has come close to describing what it takes to be a great artist in any genre.
Be so far out of touch with reality that you can show “normal” people a better way.
I was expecting the “cite” control to set off the comment, nopt to bold it.
LOL @ last panel. Glass houses, Randie!
I was going to say, “Show me the Monet”, but I caught myself. Let us never speak of this incident again.
Hey, nice landscape setting there, Brig!
I have a hard time reading the font on the Sunday comics…anyone else having trouble?
Hah! How cool! This was really neat. I love Monet.
Beetlesbane- A big thumbs up to that!
Do the paints that Randie uses have hallucinogenic fumes? 🙂
musicalfingers– I have trouble with it at standard size, but if I zoom the screen a little it becomes clear.
You need to open comics (picture) as a new window. Sunday ones are pretty large. Why? Ask Brig.
Paint fumes do have a tendency to make ya loopy! Ah, that brings back my college days in senior studio… loopy out of my mind. Odorless turpentine my patootey!
I only started to really appreciate Impressionism and Monet after visiting the D’Orsay in Paris. Impressionism painted the way for all the other movements after it… (painter’s humor). Anyhoo…
Hope the snow has melted by now, Joe…
And as far as reality goes for Randie… she talks to a stuffed thing. I’d say she makes her own reality, yah?
About the text size… When I started adding the “throw” panel with the title, it shrunk the comic to fit. So… uh… I suggest zooming… that’s the ticket.
