Mom Bday
If it wasn’t for the last minute (they say) it wouldn’t get done. Yah…. I guess my deadlines all seem to be this thing called “last minute.” AIL here.
AND… Happy Birthday, Mom!!!!
(Mom’s birthday is actually tomorrow, but I wanted this toon to be a Sunday).
This is precisely why, back in the day, such florist delivery services like FTD, Teleflora, 1-800-FLOWERS did so well. Maybe it’s me right now, but flowers most definitely have gotten sooo expensive. Price a couple roses at a florist recently? Anyhow, you’d go to a local florist or get on the phone, put in an order in your part of the country, and either the same or next day, a florist in your giftee’s part of the country would personally deliver your bouquet with your personal note and often some sort of seasonally-festive, commemorative mug, vase or balloon attached.
Brig’s Mom… Happy Early Birthday Wishes.
Love the tents and chicken stuff. Every year, Old Town Fair Oaks–it neighbors Sacramento–has it’s Chicken Festival that looks much like this. The place has lots of trees, hills, parks, greenery, and lots of chickens scampering around them. First time out, I was amazed to see a bunch of chickens roosting in trees overhead. (Watch out below) So once a year, out come the bands, beer gardens, booths, supervised leave and forget kiddie fun, play, ride and amusement zone, chicken costumes, chicken hats, all things chicken, including (yes) a barbecue contest for trophies and cash, and assorted fried chicken tents and trailers. The smart chickens clear away during the festival.
Oh, I forgot… A chicken parade.
heh.
Happy birthday to your mother.
By some strange coincidence my birthday happens to be today – the end of April is just a good time to be born in I guess.
Rhode Island Red! My mom too would love that gift. She’s obsessed with chickens. Hmmm, Mother’s Day is comin’ up. Thanks Randie! I just may have an idea of what to get her.
Many happy returns of the day!
Happy Your Mom’s Birthday, Brig!
wings… happy b-day.
I hope that your mom has a very happy birthday Bridgett!!!!
Without Brig’s Mom, we wouldn’t have Brig, so yep … never met her but already know she’s good people. 😀
Happy bday Brig’s Mom!
But I’ll take this Sunday comic space to wish a Happy Birthday to my wonderful, wonderful wife, Bethlynne! 😀
A good husband is one who never forgets his wife’s birthday but always her age. Rats… I’m halfway there. We have a lot of fun kidding her about how much older she is than me. She’s not, really, but so much happened in the world between our birthdays that it’s really funny. (And yes, funny for her, too!)
GOSH! It’s everybody’s birthday!!!! Woo Hooo! One big party, ya’ll! I think we should do BIG cake, and lots of chickens… and a bouncy house. … followed by a chicken parade.
Joking aside…. Happy Birthday, Mom, Wings, & Bethlynne… I hope it’s been a BUCC-OCK kind of birthday for you all!
… and my Mom is from Rhode Island… that’s why I mentioned the Rhode Island Red… out of all the crazy chicken names that are out there. Look them up sometime… you’ll laugh!
