Missing
Hammers would certainly be effective.
Brit comedian Eddie Izzard has a whole routine on how chainsaws ought to be pretty useful against vampires… chainsaws would probably do alright against most monsters. But gnomes?

I got a side bet on it’s Twinkie hiding inside a hollow gnome, myself.
Thanks for the Eddie Izzard tip! I’d not seen that one, and happily found that Netflix has it … my evening is planned 🙂
I do not place my gnomes (aka nisse) in bushes. Mine are in places of honor to protect my house from mischief. The fact that they do move around a lot defies explanation.
Don’t take this lightly Rye. It’s SERIOUS!
Maybe the gnome’s owner, as in the previous tennant, came back and picked him up.
Ryan seems to be getting attached, with this gnome possibly destined to become his own Harold. Hmm, wonder what a good name for the little guy might be…
Ryan’s move did wonders for his couch. Cleared those paint splotches right up.
@Stick
Ryan pulled it out of one of his boxes, so unless it fell into the box after Ryan opened it, that means he brought the gnome with him. If he had found it in the apartment he wouldn’t have had the moment of confusion and the thought of people finding stuff they didn’t know they had …
Wolf…
If you go back a few days you’ll find these tidbits:
Sept. 17; Ryan pulls a gnome he hadn’t seen before out of a box.
Sept. 19; Ryan says he likes the little guy and may just keep him.
It doesn’t seem like Rye either brought the gnome with him or had owned it before. Who knows, maybe that girl checking him out (also Sept. 17th) dropped it in the box with her phone number written on the bottom, kind of like a calling card.
Ian… I hope you enjoy(ed) the Izzard humor… that’s one of my all-time favorite routines… and the Star Trek bit at the end of that same show makes me laugh still…
Grey: One might think Twinkie was up to something… he’s that sort.
Jack: yes, he needs to be more serious here! His life could be at stake!
Fuse: so where, may I ask, do you keep the Nisse(r)?
stick: And the gnome came with Ryan from the old apartment, which is why he thought it belonged to Randie. (Thank you , Grey for explaining). And SLIP COVERS are wonderful things!
