Who will argue that kittens are just the cutest things on the planet? Kittens in a basket… even cuter! Kittens in a basket held by a little girl… now we’ve gone too far.

Just visiting, or moving in? Some stray cats are just that. Free roaming. They go from house to house looking for food and attention like Muta(Moon) from: Hayao Miyazaki’s; Whisper of the Heart. It’s a great animated gem.
Ohhh… Twinkie’s going to have something to say about this…
This is odd….When I took in a stray Kitten the last frame was exactly what my dad said after the kitten meowed. o.0
Wanna make a million billion dollars? Develop a serum that will keep kittens from becoming cats.
Our cat Eliot was a “kitten” for the better part of twelve years. He stayed relatively small and never lost his enthusiasm for live. He grew up a bit around 13, and he’s pushing 17 now and isn’t as bouncy, but he’s still The World’s Best Cat. (This coming from a hardcore dog person.)
Puppies have a similar skill 🙂 http://www.nicky510.com/comic/i-have-you-now/
Apropos the comments by Pete and Crow, I remember a comment on a “Pet Overpopulation” documentary about 30 years ago: “People like kittens and puppies much more than they like cats and dogs.”
This is usually explained by saying the juveniles resemble humans more than the adults do. The resemblance comes about because people retain many juvenile characteristics, both in appearance and behavior, as adults.
🙂
Wanna see your 17 year old cat become a kitten again? (not you, Pete… you apparently have an alien cat… most fortunate you are) …. catnip! Yay catnip!
Awww! That’s adorable. I feel like this kitten might be a bit more behaved than Twinkie…or maybe he/she is just deceptively cute. xD
The comments about cats permanently remaining kittens puts me in mind of Next, by Michael Crichton – he makes reference to “Perma-Puppies” (I think the name is self-explanatory, there).
I realised, rather belatedly, that Pokemon reflects all too well that growed-up versions of animals aren’t as cute. Though I’m definitely a cat person, at whatever age they are.
We have four Ragdolls(a relatively unknown breed, but you can Google them) and we’ve always had Ragdolls. They’re very pretty…but not so bright. They stay kittens for two years and even then never act like most adult cats :). Oliver is 8 or 9, weighs about 25 pounds and still mews like a teeny tiny kitten.
I’m looking forward to doorstop kitty, I really like the way you draw cats :)!
Wait, I meant doorSTEP! I do not encourage using animals as doorstops, that’s what those twangy things attached to the wall are for.
Meghan: I quite agree… only people should be used as doorstops! Indeed, I have performed this function many times over the years – sometimes willingly, sometimes not…
I would like to point out, however, that I have never, and will never, be a twangy thing on a wall, or anywhere else for that matter.
The most powerful weapon of any animal. My rotten little dog has been getting away with all sorts of trouble for eighteen years, simply because he has big puppy eyes.
Evolution isn’t so clueless, y’know!
Does Rotten Little Dog have a name, Dada?
Meggie: If you are into taxidermy, then what you originally said would be correct. Fluffy would make a great doorstop.
