No fruitcake – but I did make a plum pudding… with the added benefit of horrifying my girlfriend when she saw what it is really made from. (Plum pudding contains no plums – ‘plum’ was a Victorian term for raisins. But it does contain suet and molasses… which is where the horror came in. She likes plum pudding, but…. :P)
Main course was a stuffed crown of pork – looks fancy, but is dead easy.
Much like Randie I like a well made fruitcake. I think too many people have the wrong idea about fruitcake. If it’s made right it’s a soft, moist, fruit and nut delight. Made wrong of course it becomes the but of the preverbial joke and contributes to the misconceptions about fruitcake.
Much like people, not all fruitcake’s are created the same. I wish I had gotten a bit of fruitcake this year, but alas… noda. Maybe I will work on making one of my own… mmm… fruitcake.
McDuff… Oh, dear… no fruitcake… well, you seem to be happy about it… Quite the opposite of EofO, I’m afraid. She is lamenting. Again, my sympathies.
Grump… oh, that sounds wonderful! I had a friend once who made figgy pudding… with a lemon sauce that was most delightful.
… and whas’ a matter with molasses & raisins? I see no foul.
Legacy… you’re getting the idea that maybe Midge is in a “less than perfect” relationship? In my case, I’d love it!
Yat… no Fruitcake for YOU either. Midge is pretty nifty. Mouse ought to think so, but he don’t.
Not I. Something to be thankful for this Christmas. 😀

Just hafta keep rubbin’ it in, doncha??? Cruel woman. **sniff**
Maybe’s there’s some left on sale at Star Market. 🙂
Boyfriend gave her fruitcake?
…. really?
1,000,000 (at least) possible gifts in the world… and… fruitcake?
Unless you know that your girlfriend loves the stuff, that’s… that’s… wow. Just wow.
No. I think Mom finally took the hint this year. Sorry Brig.
And I think I ♥ Midge.
The white elephant is likely to be store-bought, toss it.
