Jimmy News
There’s something healthy about “getting your frustration out” on paper. I have sketchbooks loaded with “tee-d off” drawings and emotional blather sketches. It’s a good thing.

Everyone’s gotta have their own release. For some its cranking heavy metal. For others its flinging bowling balls down alleys. For some its rocketing cars down windy roads. Note car careening is not a safe pursuit. But c’mon, what else can you do? Talk about issues? Too hard, plus no one really cares or wants to offer an involved commitment.
Hmmm. In the middle-east there is a saying…
If my enemy is your enemy, you are my friend.
Now, if Jimmy Chow is both Spill’s friend, and Randie’s mortal enemy…
Then Spill and Randie should rightfully be… friends?
Cypress City is apparently not middle-eastern.
I think Randie needs to lighten up on Jimmy. She can take it out on paper – and that’d be a great title for a piece of work, huh? “Taken Out In Pencil” – but something like this needs to be faced before it gets worse. I’d almost suspect there was a potential romantic aspect to this, but we just haven’t seen Jimmy and Randie interact on frame, so there’s no way to really know.
Maybe Spill can help out. Randie obviously respects Spill, so perhaps going on that trust, Randie can take another look at Jimmy. And then perhaps a longer look at herself.
Pete… see some Jimmy/Randie interaction here. It’s not pretty. This link takes you to the beginning of the situation. Enjoy. (roll over Jimmy/Randie interaction here).
But I don’t think we’ll be seeing any romantic feelings betwixt the two. Jimmy isn’t a barista… which weighs heavily in Randie’s Sweet-on-ya agenda.
stick… while Randie & I would stay away from the Metal, I would definitely throw a bowling ball down a lane… Randie would, too! Hey… that might be a useful tactic for her in the future… hmmmm.
I DEFINITELY use my sketchbook to get out my frustrations. I have many books that I find hard to look at as it brings those yucky feelings to the surface again.
I think the resentment is professional, not romantic. Jimmy does work that Randie sees as nonsense, and is world-renowned for it. She suffers and works and starves and gets nothing. It seems unjust, yes it does.
“It’s like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is… none. None more black.”
/couldn’t resist a Spinal Tap ref – great movie, regardless how you feel about metal
Here we see the near-legendary “Scribble of Ire,” as chronicled in Roasted Peanuts: peanutsroasted.blogspot.com/search/label/scribbleofire
I got caught making an envious Scribble of Ire
I was mad, mad, mad, and the graphite piled higher
There was nothing left but a Scribble of Ire

Hey, Brad… Love the link! As a Peanuts appreciator, I dig the thoughtful digging into our beloved Peanuts.
See you soon!???
UWg… ha… she needs that charcoal… that’s help.
Squid… come on! I love Sledgehammer!
Jude… inside scooped!
For me, my catharsis after a day of fielding phone calls is to go home and play video games. On the typical day, playing Old Republic is fine … lose myself in the story of my bounty hunter, smuggler or trooper and forget the day.
On the worse days it’s Left 4 Dead, and I am mentally photoshopping what I imagine the faces of the people who annoyed me look like onto the zombies and giggle maniacally as I do horrendous things to them. ::snicker::
And dangit, Brig, clicking that link got me reading along and next thing I know I had reread half the archives again. >.< Quit it! Throwing samples at addicts, what were ya thinkin … š
Grey… That sounds fun… Whacking zombies aka the day’s frustrations.
By all means… Feel free to surf the archive. Hey, remember when Randie helps Spill deliver concrete statues, and the brakes go out in the Spillmobile?
That was actually part of the thread that I got to reading after following that link, yes, so … š
