It Was Time
The Oyster card looks like a credit card and you fill it up with money to ride the transit in London. It’s terribly convenient.
And it’s time to start running again, Rye Bread. And now that Kraft owns Cadbury, we’ll see how good the goodness of the candy lasts.
I haven’t noticed a difference so far. Of course, by most of our neighbours standards, we weren’t producing anything considered ‘chocolate’ in the first place.
Brits consume far more chocolate than we do, so I imagine the market calls for a higher quality. I know I’d love to take a “chocolate tour” of England and Europe.
Rye’s back where he needs to be. I think it was good that he went; it firmly answers the question of whether he should have or not. As much as he appreciated home before his travels, I’m guessing that appreciation is even deeper now.
Dave… I have yet to find a Mint candy bar anywhere that compares to Romney’s Chocolate Covered Kendal Mint Cake. Exquisite.
To further, I know that Nutella is different here in the US as opposed to Europe… so it actually DOES taste different. (I prefer Euro-Nutella)… So I imagine the same could go for UK candy bars.
Pete… Gah… that would be fantastic! Yes, make sure you hit Belgium… for the Belgian chocolate thing… Northern Belgium probably would be best… although Tournai is a lovely place to visit. The people are so friendly there.
And all life is an experience and a learning situation. Some people are quite astute in all areas of life, except for matters of the heart. Ryan might be one of those people.
I’m not so sure that Randy and Rye are so much a love-connection as lifetime best friends.
There’s an old adage about how a person who strays once, is likely to do it again. Emily definitely had a strong appeal to Ryan in a way that Randie didn’t. Trouble was that circumstances changed the dynamics of their relationship and Ryan chose not to fight for what he originally had with Em. Who is to say that once back in Cypress City and travelling hereto and therefore (yes, i know its not the correct use of these words…just sounds good) that someone else might not again appeal to Ryan the same way and the cycle will repeat?
Yes, life is indeed a learning situation…for all concerned…both Rye and Randie.
It’s kinda tough spending money with a weaker currency, but so awesome with a stronger one. I’ll be going back to Mexico a lot easier than Europe. Viva México
Stick: what?
Jack… hmm… When I lived in San Diego… I went down to TJ a couple times and came back with a blanket or two and some blue rimmed blown drinking glasses. The glasses have moved on… but I still have the blanket… blue and white striped thick blanket.
