In The Lead
A Brit Speak moment: In Britain, you take the dog for “walkies” on a “lead” not a leash.
In this toon, Ryan isn’t sure who’s leading whom.

Well, the dog, Charles, should know the neighborhood a bit better than Rye.
Rye just may work himself up an appetite should the walk turn to an evening of cat chasing.
*sings* When I take my dog for a walk
he takes me for a run!
Dragging me along the street
it’s his idea of fun!
From lamp post to lamp post
we jog along the street.
From tree to tree to fire hydrant,
Look out, lady, watch your feet!
This could end up being a case of the boyfriend being closer to his beau’s parents than to his beau. Step up to bat, Em! We’ve already gotta shirker in Clive, and even HE’S being a better friend to Ryan. (And by bat, I DO mean a Cricket bat.)

Stick: Yes, Ryan is at Charlie’s mercy… lead the way, Charles!
Chug: Ah! Wet feet! Wet Feet! aaaaa!
Pete: Em’s parents are pretty like-able. Clive…. meh… not so much…
Jack: Skywalker… jaywalker… Walker :Texas Ranger… Dogwalker….
brig… moonwalker (m. jackson)… walking the dog (yoyo trick)… artwalk… sidewalk…
more… Chinese wok… Christoper Walken… walk the line… walk up and smell the roses…
