Happy Friday the 13th… not that I believe in bad luck or anything. Does anybody remember that board game called Superstition? I had this game as a kid. It was silly.

So cute in the last panel … it’s aaaaaall better!
Oops posted too quick. And I have a vague memory of that game, Brig – so yeah not alone on that one. I remember something about not winning because I didn’t get the rabbit’s foot …
No bad luck for us! Not only am I not superstitious, today is Son #4’s 16th birthday. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SAM!
…and, no, I won’t take you out driving UNTIL you get your driver’s permit.
Yes, it’s Friday the 13th, but most of all, it’s Friday. So Happy Friday.
“A stitch in time saves nine.”
Okay, just had to get that out of my head.
Looks like Harold will have a story to tell, and Randie and Ryan will have a reason to celebrate.
Grey… In Superstition, you’d land on a particular spot on this board that were laid with booby traps (essentially) and you would press the button, and it was a game of chance whether yer piece would get whacked or not. There was a Whammy spot… I liked the game…
Pete… Happy 16th, Sam! Hope it’s nifty….
stick… Happy Friday! Stitchin’ up a superb weekend… and all IS well with Harold… and I’m sure he smells nice, too.
I’d never even heard of the game. Using Google [“board game” superstition] it looks like the basic mechanics are a variation of “Parchesi”, which I believe Milton-Bradley at one time held a copyright on.
Beetle… I found this website… it has pictures and stats… so you can see. It brings back lovely 70’s memories…

Harold’s back! Make sure he didn’t get sewn up with some tools inside.
Good thing for Harold its only Friday the 13th and not Thanksgiving.
Hmm…
Breast meat and drumsticks come from turkeys.
Sweet potato casseroles come from yams.
Holiday pies come from apples and pumpkins.
And, stuffing; now where does one go to get stuffing?
who’d want to eat stuffing made with cotton batting? it would take an awful lot of seasoning to make that taste good…
actually, now that i think on it, perhaps a boll weevil would like it…
ughh…harold infested with weevils…
Yeah, seeing the board brought back the memories a little clearer. I know it was back in the late 70’s or early 80’s that I played it, and the “breaking the mirror” trap seemed really familiar, so I know it’s the one I was thinking of … still can’t remember a lot about it tho, heh.
Jack… ha! that’d be a BIG surprise if a needle got lost in there… shudder!
stick… stuffing….a bit dry…
firedome…. seasoning really can make a difference… SPICES make life interesting.
Grey: I loved the visual aid there… it brought back lots of memories for me. Like how I had this fun board game… and because there warn’t no kids who lived near me, I usually wound up playing by myself. Not quite as much fun when you play it that way.
