Good As Gold1
Have you ever been simply overtaken by a theatrical production, or in this case, a well rehearsed reading of prose or poetry, that you just go to tears? You may have seen that story a million times before, but THAT particular performance DOES something to you…. brings you to tears… changes you in some way.
“Lost” Comment from Meghan:
Sadly I’m heartless human being and I’ve never cried at any book, film, performance, etc. 🙂 I’ve come close a few times, but then again I’ve never seen or read anything truly sad(like Schindler’s List) and I don’t cry when I’m happy, I stand up and dance around 🙂
“Lost” Comment from Jude:
Oh, I’m a sappy reader and watcher. I have cried as I read “Peter Pan” out loud or even a sweet little story like Charlotte’s Web. I also cry at happy stories..movies…tv commercials…

And it’s not just theatre – well written books can do it too – I can think of at least two books with events/scenes that bring out the emotions. One (movielike in it’s descriptions) is Raise The Titanic by Cussler – when the wreck is towed into NY harbour- they give it the traditional greeting for cruise liners on their maiden voyage – everyone in the harbour blowing their horns and running fountains w/ their fire hoses. I’m getting the teary eyed giggles just describing it – and I haven’t re-read the book it at least 8 years.
