Randie has a thing with gnomes… kinda like some folks do with clowns or dolls. Scary movies don’t help… books don’t either…

Interesting info! That means they’d be descended from the Dökkálfr of Old Norse Mythology. Considered “dark elves” the Dökkálfr had a fondness for dark and living underground. Over the centuries, they gained another name: Dwarves.
I know this because: 1.) My wife is an learned person in mythology, with Nordic being her favorite, and; 2.) I’m writing a novel about a member of the Ljósálfar – “light elves”, and that’s leading a lot of research.
Pete… yes, yes… the underground gnomes (think of the dwarves in Snow White… they worked underground)… and a French Cartoonist, Jacques Callot in the early 1600’s, designed a series of house dwarves (on paper). Then they started popping up everywhere… Wooden gnomes were produced in Switzerland… terra cotta in Germany… and the Brits got into it as well…. Worldly little buggers.
Wow, those publicists will take anyone as a client.
So, gnomes offer protection from evil intruders much like gangs offer protection from their own gangs? Ryan had better stock up on gold coins (or whatever goes for gnome money) and not miss a payment.
I’ve never trusted those gnomes. They stand there silently. Watching, waiting… They are as untrustworthy as the birds
In “Dharma and Greg”, Dharma thought that if you looked a lawn gnome in the eye he’d turn you into a pink flamingo…spooky…
They we’re originally “Guardin’ Gnomes.” Keeping you safe.
