Glass
The world is kinda blurry when you’re looking through beer glass bottoms…. that’d be a funny toon… beer glasses strapped to your head like goggles… sorta.

I’ve heard that beer goggles make folks look better.
So it’s business he’s studying…maybe a sweet executive seat sits open at daddy warbucks’ board room…funny, suddenly I’m seeing Clive as Adam Sandler. Goggles, anyone?
Connections can help. I had a roommate with connections at BofA. Before he even graduated, never mind that lots of folks were getting laid off at the time, a job waited for him. The only thing he had to do was submit a resume. So he goes and writes one up, takes it to his, uh, “interview” in San Fran and bam he’s on board. Uh, thinking of Clive again. Must stop.
Perhaps that nepotism at BofA is one of the reasons why they have become so unpopular. I have many firends who are so pissed at BofA that they’re pulling all their money out and placing it elsewhere.
I have heard much non-love about BofA. I had a credit card from them for awhile. They started pulling shananigans, like most banks… raised my percentage rate for no reason and I dropped them.
DCS… If it makes you feel better about the nepotism, and yeah, it was that, they guy’s dad was a higher up in their maintenance department, and the roomie with a newfound biz degree was given some sort of desk job. You do hear or experience this often. My brother had risen to regional sales manager at a nation-wide premium wine and liquor wholesaler. So the kid of one of the senior execs graduates from business school, and my brother was given the task of training the guy, with no industry experience, who he was told would be his supervisor once he learned the ropes. Yikes, there went his expected promotion to a new family hire.
Gotta wonder why the ‘rents have such lofty expectations for Emily, but much less for Clive. Perhaps she was always the “good child” (or as I told my daughter when she used that term in comparison to her brother, the “self-righteous child”)?
I got to meet THE HAROLD! Whoooooo!
I win.
I win?
Where you wearing beer goggles?
Empress…
Harold is cute, and congratulations on meeting him.
I drew up a couple pics of him for the fan art section, maybe you can also.
PS: Love your chicken avatar.
Ryan looks awesome in sunglasses. Is that the London Eye in the background?
stick: I just changed my avatar right before I read this. Gee, thanks for making me doubt myself.
Empress…
Don’t feel bad. Your new one’s nice also.
I just liked the dancing chicken in the shades, which you had up when I last commented.
stick: The new one is one of my collages. I like Dancing Chicken a lot, too, but after a couple years of it, wanted a break. Hey, nice to meecha here! Hope you know I was in jest.
Empress…
Nice to hear (read) your comment was in jest. It can be hard to tell without seeing the person doing the talking. Sounded real to me.
Well the day is done on another discussion thread and I’m sad that the whole beer goggle topic that brig halfway started never got off the ground. I tried twice to kick into gear but to no avail. Probably a good thing, what with this being a family strip and all. I did see some funny images and videos by way of google on beer goggles, but not really any that could tastefully be shown here. Alas.
Yes, twas nice to have met you, and, as I recall, give you a copy of at least one of my ballpoint pen and sketchpad drawings. Now if there only was some way you could repay me…
Hmm…do you happen to like Target?? I don’t work for them but do pick up some of their dogs. Here are four royal wedding ones I put up on ebay. No pressure, but feel free to bid on them frequently and often. Sorry about the thread pull, that one came that way. Hey, there are some military tribute ones I listed too. Just click on “see other items” to see ’em.

Harold enjoyed meeting you, too, E of O. He’s still talking about it.
Meg: Yes, it’s the London Eye in the background. I used a photo in my cachet of photographs from my last London visit. And thanks… Ryan should wear them shades more often.
