A visit to a museum is nice, it’s memories, it’s intangible.
A hand-made painting, now that’s something you put your mitts around.
Kissy-Kissy, Yikes. But, wait…there are some songs called Kissy-Kissy on youtube. One by a group called “The Kills” is so-so at best. Another that accompanies some pencil drawings is cute.
I’m thinking the only reason that Grace is announcing waiting calls is to be irritating. Otherwise she’d either let the callers die off in hold limbo, or else tell them to call back.
Joe… Yeah, looks like youtube links are available once again.
Thanks for sticking to it and showing the way.
brig… Wow, is your comic bigger, or is it a visual effect by its now light gray background? Aside from that, the everywhere blue makes reading comments hard. Can you please have webmaster-designer Harold consider going back to a white background? As I write my comment here in the compose box it is easy to see the black letters against the nice white background, but once it’s sent and appears on your site, the black on blue is harder to see, especially if you may have some glare on your screen. As for the blue on blue link names, uh, worse.
Stick… Everywhere blue? I’m not seeing that. Grey is the color that should be the ground. The bright blue is the background color behind the comic and blog, etc. You seeing something different?
brig… The everywhere blue I mentioned is the new bright blue background on your home and blog pages. The color behind pretty much all the text. The black (notes) and blue (links) against the bright blue background are tough to see. Existing glare affects may vary.
I like your random button, but can you also add a home button? Oops, I ment, tell Harold do it.
stick… as I continue to tweak the site, some of these things might be resolved… as for the home button… click the Squid Row header and that will take you home.
Stick: I think it’s your browser, bud. I’m seeing it as Brig described it: black text, gray background. perhaps your browser isn’t processing the CSS correctly, for some reason? Make sure your browser isn’t overriding page CSS settings with local defaults, that can cause issues too. Also, there is a home button, sorta … click on the Squid Row banner at the top. 😉
Brig: Debbie harry … ah, my first boyhood crush. Didn’t help matters when a photographer “found” some interesting photos of her he had “forgotten” (yeah right) he had taken until when she was famous and then cashed in on them. Find pics like that of someone like Debbie when you are a young teen male and you have a crush on them? Oh yeah, I was such a little dweeb, heh.
She still does music too, just I think she does jazz now, doesn’t she?
G-Wolf… Thanks for the suggestion. I did a compatibility view adjustment on my browser and sure enough a big gray center panel has most appreciably appeared. Hey this site is looking really good now. All I saw before was a small gray border around the day’s comic and everything else was blue. Everything. Ha, when Bridgett did up her really cool swirly scribble background, that became all I could see. It totally obliterated any semblance of text. I was able to highlight the general text area with my mouse though and saw what you had written with an again-blue background…not a great improvement but good enough to get your tip. Ahhhhh. I can see text clearly again!
Hope that text blindness does not happen to too many other folks.

last time youtube didn’t embed for Joe, so I’m giving it a shot…
Grace’s version of “Telephone”?
stick,
Looks like the embeding problem is fixed.

Hey look! New navigation buttons! An upgrade over the old ones. Who could be on the phone for Mouse?

From her expression in the last panel, Grace seems to be up to something. I’m wondering if she dialed line 2 from line 1.
Jack… Midge might could be callin’… or Zeek (“When’s yer lunch, dude?”) or maybe just an art supply distributer trying to clear up an order.
Which one of them is ‘blondie’? They’re both blondies!
…or just whichever one of them looks the most like Debbie Harry?
Ha! I love Debbie “Heart of Glass” Harry! I used to have all her albums (on tape/cd)… well… off to itunes. Thanks Dada…

Beetle… that Grace is ALWAYS up to sumthin’.
