Ghosted Series
I had fun with this one. And The Ghost & Mr. Chicken is a favorite movie of mine. I have a fond memory of my mom and I watching it on our little black and white television when I was little. It’s a silly film and there are parts that made mom laugh so hard that she cried… and this makes me smile.
The superlative Don Knotts!
Definitely, but when you got Don Knots and Tim Conway, in the same movie… 🙂
So how do we know you wrote this comic, Brig, and not some…
GHOST Writer!?!
EofO…. I loved the way Mr. Knotts used his entire body as an instrument of funny. His facial expressions were so animated!
Amber… They were funny together… “Apple Dumpling Gang” anyone? But you know what made me laugh superbly? Tim Conway and Harvey Korman… ala The Carol Burnett Show…
Pete… wah WAH! It was coming wasn’t it. That would be a Ghost Ryan Painting.
Brig…, My house ghost can be heard walking from the kitchen to the back bedroom. This can be heard when I ( or any member of the house) is alone in the basement. When you rush upstairs to see who it is there is no one there. A face can also ocasionally be seen in a mirror in the hall.
…then she can watch “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir”, “Ghost Busters”, “Ghost Rider”, and “Ghost”.
Squid… oooo, the mirror thing would creep me out… but knowing it’s not an unfriendly ghost makes it better.
Dada… I do like “The Ghost &… Muir.” It’s a nice film…. very sentimental in areas and gruff in others… just like the title implies.
If a ghost went to see, lets say…Ghostbusters, would that be a horror movie to them?
I’ve lived in a couple of places that were supposedly haunted, but never saw or heard any ghosts. I don’t think they like me 🙁
Jack…. since the ghosts get it in the end…. I’d say… probably.
chug… aw, don’t take it personally.
My favorite ghost story is one that is enjoyed at Christmas time… Mr. Dickens wrote it… and I love it. Not once do the ghosts say “Boo.”
Nice to see that in the afterlife (if you call it that) Randie free of paint splatter. Erk, she definitely loses something in the translation.
Hmm. How is it that ghosts can hold things and sit down when they want to and yet still pass throught solid objects when convenient?
I do like how all the images here are individual paintings, although I can’t imagine what kind of customer they’d appeal to. Maybe for a guest room to scare the bajeezus out of otherwise hanger-on visitors.
As for the images appearing in mirrors. Yeh, that would be scary. On the other hand there are designers who like to play with 2-way mirror glass. Wash your face in the bathroom and the mirror is a mirror. Plant yourself on the toilet and the mirror is a television. I heard, but have not seen, that bathroom mirrors in the new Sac terminal have departure info appearing on them. There is also a bar somewhere in town that has guy and girl bathrooms that are back to back with 2-way mirrors set in alternating directions. The people at the sink see themselves, as do the folks in the other guy/girl restroom. Ha. Pretty funny concept.
stick… lost in translation… yah… most of her. And I don’t know much about how ghosts move things… I mean, they have no physical body… but it happens.
Conveniently placed departure times in the mirror… I like that. It’s smart design. 2 way mirrors… that’s uh… not very nice.
Jack, Now I’m imagining Ghostbusters from the ghosts point of view: “Oh no, slimer, don’t go in the ballroom! They’ve got the proton pack! Look out!!!”
Our ghost also looks over your shoulder ocasionally. Even though this only happens once in a while, it still creeps me out when it happens.
Stick, are you back in Sacktown? You havent been at the safeway starbucks in a while.
I think ghosts would see ‘Ghostbusters’ as the equivalent of ‘Birth of a Nation’.
Jude… ha… perspective is a fun thing, ain’t it? Hee hee.
Squid… Wooooo…. you have an “interested” ghost. Imagined ghost thinking: “So… whatcha reading?” “you missed a spot shaving there…” “Is that the ad for Kohl’s?”
Dada…. you’re so weird.
Dangit, Dada – I actually GOT that reference, and I don’t know if it’s making me feel geeky or just OLD! 😛
Grey… Geeky.
