Goals are laudable, but my life has been of the “If you want to hear God laugh, tell Him your plans” sort. I changed directions so many times I gave myself whiplash. Now I’m just along for the ride. It’s the journey, not the destination, right?
I think God holds pretty much knows where we’re ultimately going. He just throws out the hints and circumstances. Sometimes I just plain adopt the “row, row, merrily, merrily…” attitude. It all seems to work out with a little faith.
“‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.'” –Proverbs 3:5-6.
