Fred Knows
Come again? Who? What?
Fred, over at Joe’s Cuppa Joe, is based on a friend of mine… Fred (go figure) who had a bit of a caffeine habit. We worked together… and nearby was a coffee place where he’d get sometimes 3 or 4 doppios a day. He was terribly productive… a real doer. He also “had to know” stuff. He made it a point to absorb information… with astounding retention.
Oh, I really hope she gets a Vespid… she deserves it after all she’s going through 😉
But, if the Vespid is from Emily, would she accept it?
Brig,
The TV show “Pawn Stars” had an episode that featured a Vespa with a side car. Did you see it? You can find a clip online if you search for: Pawn Stars Vespa
re: Pete’s comment
I wonder what the second place prize in the poster contest was?
Sounds like Randie’s being bought off.
Will she bite on it, lure, hook, line and sinker?
She loves “Vespids” but the one being offered has luggage (sad memories) attached.
Joe, I vaguely recall something like that too, but couldn’t find a link to it.
Here are three tidbits I did find:
First two are from “Auction Kings” (Discovery) both with vintage sidecar Vespas
The third is cringe worthy. From a show called “What the Sell” (TLC). The lady auction shop owner rides, crashes and refuses to buy a modern Vespa.

Can anyone tell me how to make simple links to these instead of pasting whole addresses?
Listen up Beetles, your teaser opens nothing.
While at it…how do you put in italics, bold and emoticons? Thanks.
Stick: it’s just a reference to way back when Randie didn’t get even an honorable mention in the “win a trip to Paris” contest way back on Aug 16, ’10. September 21, ’10… she gets the results and the story continues (Beetle is referencing the Sept. toon).
The Vespas at auction were CHERRY! That ’58 was ripe even! But the last video made me sad and I think that should be a lesson to all… when you fall, you need to get right back up in the saddle again! You’ll miss the joy otherwise. Thanks for the links.
How to: tap in word. Highlight word… go up to bar at … wait… you don’t have a Mac do you? Can somebody else chime in here?
Oh… a Vespid as second place would have been grand! But sadly….
Shelby… me too!
brig, Thanks for explaining Beetle’s honorable mention.
Sorry, B, It looked like it would open, just wouldn’t.
Yes, that third video killed me, chubby lady crashes Vespa for sale and laughs off a purchase.
Yup, got an HP laptop.
I see that as a relative newcomer there are many story elements to catch up on. Shelby?
Stick,
“Pawn Stars/Auction Kings” meh, it’s all junk until someone buy it.
I’m on the way back to feeling human again. The Thursday flight is still a go!
Mr. Stick, with regard to using bold, italic, links, etc., they’re standard HTML tags. If you look beneath the box where you type your comments (assuming you’re looking at the website as standard), the valid tags are listed…
Astra,
Thanks; I tend towards the simple, but appreciate knowing how to conjur up some frills.
Oh, and there’s a huge comet heading for the earth.
Fred knows!
Stick: Nothing wrong with that sort of attitude 🙂 Besides, as far as the links situation is concerned, it looks less messy (nothing against your good self, o’course) if the URL is “masked” by text.
(I rather like the fancy-schmancy system EFX3 has: it’s semi-WYSIWYG, and you pretty much operate it as you would a regular word processor. No fiddly HTML to deal with.)
