The beginning of a new year holds so much promise… so much potential. Randie, although feeling somewhat optimistic, is aware of her drawbacks.
I hope your resolutions pan out with great success.

Aw…
Now you’ve heard my feelings.
My resolution is to visit Brig and the Cartoonery in early March. Only a job relocation will prevent that from happening. It is possible in the next week or two that I’ll be offered a position in Milwaukee, WI. It would mean a promotion, but no increase in pay. Hopefully, no decrease either. Times are tough and we all have to make adjustments.
A few years ago, I made a resolution to stop making New Year resolutions. It’s been tough, but I’ve managed to keep to it 😉
Astra-
Ironically, your vow not to make resolutions is itself a resolution.
Sounds like one of those back-to-the-future-esque, mind-bending Buddhist koan, riddles.
Joe-
Hmm.
Gain a relocation, lose a visit. Lose a relocation, gain a visit. To promotion or not to promotion?
Me?
I’m looking forward to start monetizing my patterns and cartoon stories. Only jury duty, being able to stop adding to a serious myriad of drawings, and making order of it all awaits, first.
Brig-
Good luck on those connections, sales and shows. Sounds like a sort of circle. One brings about the other. And, the more the merrier.
PS: The seagulls devastated my Mustang’s roof and windshield. A waterhose came in handy yesterday, and the rain today is helping too. Funny, as I was cleaning off the guck with some Mickie D napkins, there was a family watching me as they sat in a white van munching on to go grub with a seagul on their short little hood watching them. Darn webfooted anarchists.

Check out this trailer, if you will. Its for a wonderful, old-school cartoon movie called “The Illusionist (L’illusionniste)” on the rotten tomatoes movie website.

Stick: Well, yes… The resolution not to make any more resolutions was the last one I made. Nothing mind-bending about it at all 🙂
Stickie: The trailer looks fabulous… I loved the Triplets of Belleville… wonderfully odd and well animated… so I will look for this one!
Resolutions aren’t bad… they’re just hard.
Joe: Keep your fingers crossed, yah?
The nice thing about not keeping your new year’s resolutions is that you can use them again next year. Sort of like the campaign promises of the King of Id in the comic strip.
Stick-figurer – Check your paint in a good light – gull poop eats through clear coat like nobody’s business.
I wish for the same thing ever year myself, Brig…er, Randie. Here’s hoping it comes true!
Best of luck in 2011!
just saw the trailer…all i can say is “watch out studio ghibli!”
A number of years ago I made my New Year’s Resolution that when Lent arrived, I’d give up making New Year’s Resolutions forever.
It’s worked out great ever since.
