Cats seem to do this. You open the door and you get either the blank stare… or a the walk away.
Cats seem to do this. You open the door and you get either the blank stare… or a the walk away.
Cats know how to work you. To quote: “They make you feel incredibly guilty when in fact you’ve caved in to them completely.” (From “The Simpsons,” in a slightly different context.)
My father’s dog does this too, and it baffles me!
Some dogs do it to work their way up to “alpha” status, which you never want them to have.
Cats do it to keep their options open, and also because their human pets are slow of mind and need constant training.
RN… I would agree. My own cat starts making her presence known in the kitchen at about 3:30. Dinner time isn’t until 5… but she gives the pitiful look until there is some “give-in-ed-ness”. I’m such a sucker.
Trev… interesting. Maybe your father’s dog is part cat.
Pete… I agree with the latter for sure. My cat has trained be pretty well, I’d say.
…and you know the little punk is going to wait until you sit back down again and then start crying to come back inside.
