Foggy
The Central Coast is known for having a little fog… thick, brooding, can’t-see-where-yer-goin’ fog.
Randie might be having a flashback there…

You may need to clean up the second and third panels there, Brig. They’re so foggy, I can’t see what I’m reading. If I’m not careful I’ll…
*THUNK!*
Drat! I read into the edge of the last panel! Ow!
I remember occasional fogs like that in Oakland back in the 50’s. When walking you had to know where everything was.
Being reared in the San Joaquin Valley, I know just what you mean. I much prefer our severe Montana winters to that fog.
Good thing Randie’s not carrying delivery coffee. It’d be a shame to have it spill.
Actually, California’s Central Valley is infamous for this stuff called tule fog, that resembles today’s strip…a lot. It’s sneeky, super thick, ground hugging fog that appears in random patches and loves to settle itself on freeways. One moment you’re going along with little or no fog, the next moment your in a total white out with absolutely no visibility, and the next moment all is clear again. Crazy stuff. Some people suddenly slow down, and others slam into them as they only see their brake lights when its too late to miss hitting them. Be it that we’re talking freeways here, the others slamming into what’s parked up ahead can be many.
Randie’s a good candidate–tap, tap, tap–for a blind person’s walking stick.
Pete…. you made me laugh.
Beetles & Lee… yah, you guys knows the fog. When I lived in Pacific Grove, it was fun to watch the fog run down the street. You could also watch the fingers of fog come up over HWY 68 from Carmel and down the hill.
stick… Tule fog scares me…. 16 car pile-ups aren’t good for nobodys!
The fog creeping over highway 68 and down into p.g. like the hand of doom is pretty interesting and yes, watching the fog run down the street is cool. Nothing beats being out on the ocean, lost in the fog. now thats a crazy expirience!
