Fallish
Randie and I differ on this… I like Fall. I enjoy the change of seasons and enjoy the cooler air and long afternoon shadows. As an artist, I see shadows and fall colors and orange, purples browns and greens as a welcome change… and often like painting them.
The sunshine is the same – you just have to get up earlier to enjoy all of it!
(Although, with the shortening days in my part of the world, that only helps so much.)
You must be up north, qka….yes? This morning felt quite fallish… I seem to have been prophetic when I drew this.
You have to watch out for that kind of thinking, in the autumn – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slS_ky8ZYUc
But then, I am New England born and bred – and autumn is as much a time of celebration as introspection – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9_Fij0mW48
Either one will do for me, depending on mood and weather. 🙂
The Auld Grump
Grump… very pretty songs and images to go with. I have been in Ohio in the Fall. I don’t recall there being amazing fall colors that year… I know it’s not New England… but when the Dogwood trees are in bloom in the spring… there is nothing like it!
These last few years… Autumn has not been as spectacular. Temperatures have been too warm, with brief stretches of cool – so the leaves do not all turn at once.
When all turn within their season, the trees look ablaze.
The Auld Grump – course, a few years ago we had enough snow on Hallowe’en that some folks used their Jack O’Lanterns as the heads for snowmen.
Beautiful artwork today!
Grump… ha… Jack Frost’o’lanterns. This year, Fall is early here on the Central Coast. The nights are colder… and the breeze is chillier.
Dada… thank you… I do like this one. I made sure the squirrels were present in this toon. They have been speaking to me of late. we are in for a harsh winter.
I prefer standard time over daylight saving time, because I like noon to happen at 12:00 instead of 1:00…
Ah, Fall! My fave season next to Late Spring!
