Elvin Mouse
I wasn’t ever into Dungeons & Dragons… but there was this game called Tunnels Of Doom that way back in the day before Atari (even), we played on the tv/”computer”…. it was a Texas Instruments “home computer” and it was a tape recorder hooked up to your tv… anyhow… it was a fantasy type game with “rogues” and trolls and dragons… and you roamed around a virtual castle opening doors, fighting monsters and getting treasure. It was mostly text and simple pixel-ated images… so I would draw pictures of me being some heroine type person slaying evil monsters… it was silly.
Ah, yes, Tunnels of Doom. There were a lot of clones of that game, too. One that came out for PCs years ago was “Rogue”. Great fun, back in the day. Now they’ve rather dramatically upgraded the genre.
How about Star Trek as a text-graphics game on the mainframe. Even in ancient times it was easy to get caught up in a well designed game. The last thing that grabbed me was the Myst series.
Happy holidays to your whole household.

What a great Christmas present for Mouse! I don’t think there could be any better present than this. Allow me to get phychological for am moment. The young lady who Mouse has a secret crush on gives him a present. Not only is it a personal gift from the person who probably means the most to him than anyone else right now, but it’s acknowledgement (i.e. acceptance) of what matters most to him. He’s a gamer, so he can identify himself fighting Trools. (Randie knows this, especially since the Halloween party.) I am sure he will treasure this gift for a long, long time, because it means so much to him.
Sometimes the simple gifts mean the most.
Am I reading too much into this? Perhaps. Well, anyway, Merry Christmas to everyone!!
Mike: I think you hit the mark! I think Mouse is off to Baron Brothers soon!
That’s the start of an old Christmas spiritual:
He’s Slaaaaying Grace, how sweet the sound, …
Ha Ha! What a cut-up! Ha!
