Dreary Winter
Honestly, before joe, the world is a different place. The dark and cold place known as “pre-coffee” is not a place you want to be for very long.

what a beautiful strip, i love the colors =)
Doggone it, I hate it when I post on the wrong bloody page. Well if you are curious as to what I wrote brig you can always check the previous page.
Who’s going to make the first “my precious” quote?
Frank… Thank you… I had fun with the snow on this one… and I LOVE the blue in the first few panels. It really was a good time on Photoshop that day. Probably spent a little longer on ONE toon than I should have… but I like how it turned out.
Gram… the latter comment? or did it not post?
Dada… that’d be you! And yes, that is exactly what I say to my first cup of coffee! … in that voice…. AND I probably look a little like Gollum when I first get up…. And if you cross me before I’ve had my first cup, I’d probably bite off your finger, too.
The clouds part… light shines down… a choir of angels sings… as that first sip goes down! Ah, but what of picking up the cup to take the next swig of nectar and finding you’ve already partaken of the last sip? Woe and despair!!
Just read your post on yesterday’s page Grammy Pashakitty. Although sad to lose a friend I think it’s clear you are both better off without him. Wow I can’t wrap my head around that one. Maybe this is the first sign of better things to come after the tragedy with losing your home? I sure hope so!
Fun Mike… yes… I forgot the choir of angels singing! Rats… next coffee comic… I’ll be sure to put them in. But, I’m with you on the sadness … especially when your cup becomes empty… oh, the tears.
Ep…. It’s hard to down the idea that someone you know is capable of such acts… especially someone who you thought to be a friend!
Eprinc, yeah.
I added a bit more of a response to yesterdays post, but I definitely believe we are all better off without him. It’s really sad though at the same time, as he was always a very loyal friend and if the situation were reversed, (not that I would ever want to kill anyone) I know that he’s the type of friend who would’ve helped without even questioning the necessity of the deed.
Which again is a very sad thing when I think about it.
Loyalty is one thing but you should never put yourself in the position of being an accessory to breaking the law no matter how good of a friend the other person is.
Yeah, my mate and I are going through a trial by fire at the moment… huh, quite literally in some ways, but things will definitely be moving in the right direction now. We are already seeing so many positive changes, it’s still dark in a lot of ways and we are still struggling but we can finally see a light at the end of a very long tunnel. And for the first time in a lot of years, that light isn’t an oncoming train.
Know this all too well, however my first cup of coffee usually is partaken at about 12:00am.
Gramy,
¨Loyalty¨ is an issue not because he asked you to partake in something illegal, but because he asked you to do something that was wrong.
I was in New York for a week. I just returned to Portland where it was 62 degrees today, 50 degrees warmer than NY.
