Maybe, unlike anywhere else, art supplies are really hot sellers in Cypress City and Carol is getting ready to open another store. Mouse and Randie will be split. Mouse will manage one store and Randie will get a managerial promotion to run the other. And they’ll get to draw straws over who’ll get Grace as their employee. Likely Randie as Mouse will hire Midge. Or wait…Grace put in the order and has instructions to run the new store with Randie as her staff.
Hmm…Randie makes Grace look good to the boss. Grace gets promoted and keeps slave girl Randie as her employee to continue looking good and now getting performance bonuses.
Huh… something like this should get Grace fired. That’s a LOT of money the store has to pay for those supplies. And until they sell at least half of those books, they won’t make any money on the order(s).
But then… this IS a comic. Don’t want to copy real life TOO close. Where’s the fun in that? 😉
Even worse, come January, they’ll have to inventory all their stock and pay TAXES on anything in the store! And they’ll pay taxes on them AGAIN if they haven’t sold by the following year, and so on, and so on, etc!
That’ll teach Randie to leave it to Grace! Wait…what was in those goodies she brought in, anyway?
So that’s what it takes to get Grace to do her job.
haha! I knew it…Grace the nonmerciful has struck again!
Wha? Another truckload?

Nah, will never happen…or will it?

Heather… ha! Grace the non-merciful!
Stick… Carol isn’t much of a manager… it wouldn’t surprise me if she promoted Grace for odd reasons.
EofO…. Grace should not be trusted. Randie has learned her lesson, I’m sure.
Mary… I’m not sure Grace is doing much of anything…. but if there’s any chance of messing with Randie, she’ll take it!
