Moe’s Bean Brew Filling Station… probably no free internet. Sadly, there is a Wortmart in Smelterville. It probably employs the whole town.

Not even a MoonDollars? I didn’t think it was possible to get more than 5 km by law from one down in the US these days.
I’m sure they have a McEdibles, though. It’s Idaho, not the moon. 😀
MoonDollars, Mr. McDuff? And McDoh (as the French call it) IS everywhere… except the moon. And Judy told me that S. Idaho is moonscape-ish. We googled it even.
My best friend (he’s Canadian) comes from a town with a population of 250 on a good day. Apparently they have trouble even keeping a corner store open! I find it difficult to believe towns that small can even exist. I’ve trekked through the jungle in Africa and found bigger population centers. Sometimes, however, with no coffee shops.
Hmmm, Voldemart? 😛
The ships are sailing around the bend,
Bye-bye, my Roseanna.
All loaded down with fishermen
I won’t be home tomorrow.
Refrain:
Bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye,
Bye-bye, my Roseanna.
Bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye,
I won’t be home tomorrow.
A dollar a day’s a sailors pay
Bye-bye, my Roseanna.
It´s easy come, easy slip away
I won’t be home tomorrow.
Refrain:
Oh Roseann, sweet Roseann
Bye-bye, my Roseanna.
I’m going away, but not to stay
I won’t be home tomorrow.
Refrain:
We’re sailing North, across the bay
Bye-bye, my Roseanna.
We won’t be back for many a day
I won’t be home tomorrow.
Refrain: (x2)
A little less pessimistic than Four Strong Winds….
The Auld Grump
Not all of South Idaho is Moon-scape (Notwithstanding the Craters of the Moon National Monument which is the origin of much of the conspiracy theory of faked Moon landings) SE Idaho near and east of the Henry’s Fork is “Mountain Greenery”
But the Snake River Plain, where Idaho got branded by the Yellowstone Hotspot, yeah – it’s high desert and lava, except where it’s irrigated.
Smelterville is close to being as far as you can get from where I am and still be in Idaho ☺ No kidding – to drive there you go to Montana first. Been there, done that.
Small, but Coeur d’Alene is half an hour away.
Lady J… the reason little towns die…? No coffee shop. There’s proof.
Grump… YES! That Wortmart… is very much like Voldemort without the tattoos… maybe a barcode can be considered a tattoo? Anyhoo….
This song could be looked at with a different perspective… What if Roseanna is seeing someone “on the side”? It becomes a different song.
Dave… Judy pulled up Google maps on that MOONscape… she knew about them and we spied.
I looked up Smelterville on Googlemaps when I was writing this… and was curious about Coeur d’Alene…. ’cause it’s French. There has to be a good story in there.
