Cups
For a while, I was saving the coffee cups I got from Rollick’s … in the 5 years that I have been buying coffee there (since I’ve had my office)… I could probably cover the walls of my office… building.

I used to drink coffee like Randie, but then I married a man who doesn’t drink coffee and I don’t make it as often as I used to. It’s a little too expensive for me to go out and drink it any more, but I still have the well loved odd cup once in a while.
Randie can stop whenever she wants ! RIGHT ?
*ugh* Whatever you do, don’t try to work out how much money you spent on that coffee. The final total would have probably covered a month’s vacation in Paris. (With Vespid.)
Pasha-meow… It’d be a tough habit for me to break. I look forward to it first thing in the morning…. and gosh darn… I am a happier person with it than without… I remember the days before I drank the brew… sad….just sad.
Frank…yah… right… whenever… (more like never)…
Pete… small fortune… yes, Randie could’ve been saving up for that trip to Paris… speaking of which… tomorrow is a special day… well sorta… you’ll see tomorrow.
With all the dead air space behind those cups, Randie could say she’s working on insulation for her apartment (as I recall, she had some heat problems over the winter).
frank,
The crucial word in that statement is “wants”.
She’s also built a house out of a week’s worth of Pop N Tarts boxes.
Those would make great sound proofing or insulation. Rawk on Randie!
“A Lot of Coffee Cups” for the title?
Composers generally don’t pick the titles by which their works are known to posterity, the musicians or friends name them. Is the same true with artists?
Peter Schikele had a good talk on naming musical works in one of his PDQ Bach concerts. He put in one of his own alleged pieces, called the Unbegun Symphony (he was born too late to get a chance to write the first two movemnts) but origninally it was called The Pathetic Symphony. The names, he said, like the Jupiter Symphony and the Eroica Symphony, are not given by the composers. They’re given by friends, or the musicians. He said that the name “The Pathetic Symphony” was given to the piece by some of his old friends. Well, he said, I’ve got a new set of friends now and we’re calling it “The Unbegun Symphony.”
I suggest Randie change the title to “Cup Board.”
Michael,
Many paintings with a descriptive name or one that was given by the artist are “known” by names given them by the media or public. Thus ‘la Gioconda” (“Portrait of Elizabet Giaconda”) is commonly called the “Mono Lisa”; “Arrangement in Grey and Black No.1” (artist’s title)is “Whistler’s Mothe”r…
I dunno… There could a lot of silly names for an array of used paper coffee cups. Cupacity? Cafe Verticale? Latte to heaven?
Beetle, Dada, Rawkin’ Gulls Guy… Insulation, Pop’n Tart houses… oh, yes… Creative think’n goin’ on there.
Michael, Beetles, Rat…. how about “Untitled” ….. ? I hate it when artists do that. But “Cupacity”…. we’ll go with that.
Perhaps “to be retitled.”
