Creepy
That’s what I would do… I’d just go on thinking that there’s nothin’ there… nope… nothing but storage. Boxes of papers… and… more papers.

Yeow, talk about creepy…can someone flick that circuit breaker off again?
What’s with Max’s green facial? Eating guacamole is easier with chips than bobbing.
Oh, nothing scary could possibly be behind door 3, like Norman Bate’s mother for instance.
Say what you will about Max–he’s handy to have around when the circuits blow.
[staggers out of the archives]
[knocks off the dust]
Done! All caught up, finally … very nice webcomic, adding it to my list of regular reading when things are slow at work. 😀 (if you think your taste in music is eclectic, you should see the list of webcomics I read)
And for those feeling down about weather in the 50’s … tonight’s forecast for my area was for -7 (that minus is NOT a typo!) but has been uprgaded to “only” -2, joy! Now we just wait to find out how much snow we’re getting this time.
So, Max’s “complexion” is really a facial mask?
Hmm. Goings on behind door number 3. Movement. Weird smell.
Randie’s building may just be a “cathouse,” literally not figuratively.
My guess its an reclusive artist with a funky kind of art, reclaimed garbage sculptures or something. Or possibly a den of feral cats and an open window, which would explain why hte building is soooo cold.
Hello all… Yes, that’s a facial scrub there on Max… Way long time ago in a past life… I used this green, almond shell scrub… so I was channeling there…
… number 3 will continue in mystery. Who knows what’s goin’ on behind that door…?
Thank you, Grey Wolf… so glad to have you along! Now… did you go to the “WAY BACK Squids” over on Webcomics Nation? If not, look for the button just above today’s comic that says “older squid toons”… If you’ve not been there, there’s more to chew on! You’ll laugh at the way the characters began… visually.
Heather… Ha. You made me think of an old “Two and a Half Men” episode when Jake was feeding seagulls and then left the window in his room open along with seagull “food” inside. It was overtaken by the noisey feathered scavangers. Charlie vowed to seal off the door.
G-Wolf… oh sure, that’s the overnight low when most everyone’s asleep. So what’s your daytime high? Like a balmy 79?
brig… The comments in this discussion are popping up strangely. Grey’s only showed up after the others below were long present. My last comment is stamped 10:31 yet your message was not there until after mine posted….strange.
Anyway…funny how you channeled your green facemask through Max, not Randie.
Well, I suppose that it does help set off Max’s purple and gold robe. Erk. Flick the circuits.
stick… wolf’s comment needed to be approved first (because he is a new commenter). His comment appeared when I approved it, but in the order at the time HE submitted it.
Randie isn’t the type to wear a facial scrub. Max is.
Creepy! Weird smells are never good. Call the cops if there’s dogs scratching at the door!
Wow … I *thought* I had started form the beginning, and remembered seeing mention of the Way Back Squids in the comments, but … ah well, here we go again!
[puts the dust mask back on]
S’ok, I love me some archives, one of my many geek-borne oddities. Don’t hear from me in a week, I’m ok just send peanut butter!
Oh and stick … newp, January in Iowa means “balmy” translates to “maybe we’ll get over freezing … if we’re lucky and God *really* likes us this year”. 😉 The weather was freakishly hot (for us, that is) and was hitting 40’s and 50’s, very abnormal for December and January in the upper midwest. That seems to have passed and we are back to normal. Oh yeah, today we started with rain, switched to rain/snow mix … right now it’s snowing. The drive home from work (night shift, love it) in the morning is going to be loooooovely.
GWolf… I hope that you have enjoyed/are enjoying the “way-back squids.” It’s a lot of toons to go through. But know you can see where things came from… how Randie got to where she is… and where Twinkie came from, as well. (and with the weather being so “stay-in-ish” … you can go back through… maybe with a cup of coffee or tea…. and enjoy while the snow falls outside). ps… do you need peanut butter?
Jack… no doubt.
