Creative Vibe
This happens to me all too often… I will get this amazing creative vibe thing goin’… and by the time I can use it, it’ fizzles out! Inspiration is a funny thing. Someone needs to bottle the stuff!

Sometimes I suspect it’s kind of like how a chocolate bar tastes even better when you’re not supposed to eat it– the inspiration is all the stronger simply *because* you can’t do anything about it right now.
I wonder what bottled inspiration would taste like? I’m thinking everything below £1 that they sell at 24-hour petrol stations, blended together.
Now that she has use of the Vespa, any chance that Randie will visit the Garlic Festival end of the month?
Painter’s Block after a pop-tart breakfast!? That’s just crazy! Pop-Tarts = Brain Food!
Good Lord…what was in that Pop-Tart?!
Creativity is a fickle muse.
I think that the creative vibe is something that shows up when it dang-well wants to! Inspired by a sugar high… or caffeine (she says as she sips her americano) or a painting, landscape or music… it just flits around above your head until you’re ready to do something… and then it zips right off without explanation or excuse.
Sm. Dave: I imagine it’s like a scene out of ‘arry Potter… (where liquid luck smells differently to each person….”toothpaste, freshly cut grass…”) I think mine would taste like an exquisite cup of espresso with creme…. or a French hot chocolate.
Dada… when I read your “Creativity is a…” I read it as Creativity is a fickle mouse. I like that, though.
Hi all, back from diving down the rabbit hole,
Wow, those eyes are big.
Jack, Dada… That had to be some sort of magic pop-tart she bit into.
Ordinary toaster jellycakes just don’t have that kind of crazy, although nicely color-coordinated, psychedelic power.
Ah, but alas, rampant, mind-altered hullucinations with no notes/sketches yield to post-dream remorse. So sad.
brig… Randie needs to discover that ever-present napkins or paper towels make for great impromptu note pads. And, forget chocolate and peanut butter cups, folks, someone’s gotta market coffee and pop-tart pick-me-ups. Hey if it’s medicinal it’s gotta be legal, right?
Fickle mouse? Release the Twinkie.
Been there, done that. Where does it come from, and where does it go?
I try to live on decaf coffee since too much caffeine over a long enough time gives me pounding migraines. But when I do cons, I load up on caffeine and am almost exactly like this when there. I’m GO GO GO during the day, full of social pleasantries, witty quips, and hilarious insights. (Or so I’ve been told.) But when I get back to the room later that night… FUMPH! on the pillow and out like a light. *hehe* Like Randie, I bring along my “tools of the trade” to get some writing done when I’m in my room… but never have the energy/inspiration to after the caffeine recedes for the night.
PS: Awwww… Thanks!
