In my old apartment it was so like this. I felt like I was in that trash compacter in Star Wars. Stuff kept getting in the apartment and it felt like the walls were closing in. Get out Rye!
Like Rye, Twinks seems a bit green with the situation. Ryan’s looks pretty disenchanted with the situation, yet is not raising so much as a finger to change it. He needs to get to work and earn his keep. Randie’s like one of those chefs who makes sauces and splashes food all about, with Ryan there to clean up the mess afterwards, so more chef creativity can follow. It’s never likely to end, at best, Ryan can move on and be replaced with another cleaner upper.
Stick… to call Randie a chef would be um… well, she can assemble food… from a can or microwave… there is no kitchen in her apartment. And Randie is no Clive… just disorganized but not entirely dirty… and too much stuff for such a little space… 2 peoples stuff in one small apartment.
My sympathies if your living space looks like this.
Heh… what can I say. I have owned (or is that been owned by?) cats, one of them really liked the laundry basket especially fresh out of the dryer.
Oh… and yeah, my apartment looks fairly close to that too. Comes from two pack rats living in the same space. Not dirty, just really cramped and disorganized. In fact it’s just about time for me to do the semi annual bulldozer maneuver on our apartment.
We worry about becoming collectors, you know the kind of people who get buried under all the junk that they collect? So when the stuff starts piling up like that we do our best to look at it all and ask if we have used it within the last year + or whether or not we actually need it. If the answer is no to either of those questions then we get rid of as much of it as we can till we run out of energy.
Sadly we can never really keep it cleared out because we both just keep bringing home more stuff to replace what we get rid of.
Yikes, Pasha! I must tell you that I do have a tendency to collect as well… I have stacks of paper that I want to collage with… I have bundles of coffee sticks that will be cool to make little signs with…. there’s java jackets that can be “arted up” with sharpies… sigh. I know what yer talkin’ about.
Heh… I see from the tail hanging out of the laundry basket that a certain kitty cat nightmare is still hanging about.
*heh* Good line.
Sounds like my room. 🙂

“Two can live as messily as one?”
