Cold Painting
Anything merely suggesting cold does NOT help the situation at all! Go warm your hands by the espresso machine, Randie!

“It never snows in California, but girl, don’t they warn ya…”
We got over 17 inches of snow over the weekend here in Minneapolis. Even the Metrodome could not stand up to it. I had to buy a new snow thrower on Saturday during the storm to replace the one that packed it in last year…and I had to shovel the last eight feet of driveway just so I could get out to do that!
It’s not common for the Vikings to lose in Detroit, but the Giants did what the Lions have failed to do this year.
Hmm… The Minneapolis Minotaurs – sounds like a great hockey team name!
Maybe Randie should paint a picture of a roaring fire. If that doesn’t work, set fire to it.
Astragali,
That’s a good suggestion!
I have been listening this night to a guitar artist named Tommy Emmanuel on youtube. He is well worth listening to as well as watching.
On a more personal note, I think I need to take a trip out to California to visit Brig. I have vacation comming up in February. Anyone like to help pay for train fare? All donations are welcome!
Joe, I saw a video from inside the Metrodome as it collapsed. That was tragic, but wow is it a cool looking video.
Apparently, although this was a heavy snowfall, Minneapolis has had 4 greater one day accumulations. That said, proper design of the roof should have enabled it to hold up under those conditions. I suspect that over the next several years will see a lot of blame shifting.
Joe, should I actually end up with the computer a friend promised to bring me, I’ll check out Tommy (right now, I’m surprised I can even view this site, the computer is so underpowered).
Beetles: They should forget the blame-shifting and find a way of making a heated roof which can melt the snow before it gets the chance to accumulate, methinks.
Goodness! The Metrodome thing was crazy! Um, is it me? Or is the idea of a blow up lid for your stadium a bit, well, not a good idea…? Anyhoo… Joe, I hope you are staying warm! Tommy the guitar player is quite good. Stay indoors!
I like the Minn. Minotaurs! That’s a great name! … and keep readin’, Astragali. Randie is a creative gal… but she should put a heater on her Christmas list for sure!
Thou shalt not speak the name of the Holiest of Peanut Butter Mothers in vain!
hmm…the first comment was a twist on an albert hammond song…
also, poor randie…not only is she a starving artist, she’s a freezing one, as well. the apartment must not be well insulated. if i could, i’d lend her my heater. it hasn’t been too bad here on the central coast lately. now, last month…
Hee hee… Holiest of Peanut…
Yes, it was darn-right chilly about 2ish weeks ago when I wrote this one… anyhoo… Randie would love to borrow your heater, Firedome… when can you bring it over?
When are you comin’ out, Joe? We’ll arrange to have a heater on.
Brig: You’re going to have a heater on when Joe comes to visit? It’s reassuring to know that you put on a show for your guests 🙂
And if Joe does show up (which I hope he will), I wanna see pictures! (please…)
