I’m psychic! Though I don’t think Harold is that eccentric…its a bit of a stretch, but I’ll take credit for my awesome psychic ability 🙂 lol…or its possible that I know how Randie cheers herself up (same way I do) 🙂
Randie had best enjoy it while she can… the news is that the wholesale price of coffee is at a 34-year high. And while consumers haven’t felt the full brunt of it yet, we will this summer. So stock up now!
THIS PANIC MESSAGE HAS BEEN BROUGHT YOU BY: MaxSwill House coffee. Good to the last drop… of your money, it’s MaxSwill House coffee!
@pete..I drink so much coffee myself I have spent enough to support Maxswill’s profit margin for the week 🙂
Oooh, I totally had another psychic flash….Ryebread sent a coffehouse gift card to Randie or a prepaid cup at the coffeehouse when she arrives, after driving her vespa through the rain. 🙂 cause she’s getting all excited and happy she is gonna have a cup of joe…so lets throw rain at her hehehehe 😉
Funny how Randie won’t pay $4 a gallon for gas, but will pay $16 a gallon for coffee… And no, I’m not suggesting that she (nor anyone else!) takes up drinking gasoline…
Astragali… you’ll find that Randie’s coffee situation is about to take a turn. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Randie would rather pay $ for coffee… some people pay ridiculous prices for ciggies. It’s much the same. Gas or coffee? coffee.
Scrapping takes some energy… I went looking for something I misplaced (which is kinda like looking for change) and I looked everywhere! I’m pooped (but I am sufferin’ from “the crud”… so it dudn’t take much to wear me down)… oh, and I didn’t find the lost thing.
Pete (and Astragali)… Sigh… coffee IS gas! And both are ridiculously priced at present! Sigh. Even though I’ve cut back on gasoline… I refuse to cut back on coffee. It’s what makes me so cheerful! I won’t do that to my people!
*Maxswill House was my Dad’s coffee of choice… I used to get him a big can every Father’s Day. He seemed to enjoy!
Heather… you must be foretelling. Most fore-tellers ask you to put change in their palm before they’ll reveal the future. You revealed there being change in Randie’s palm in the future. Funny that!
Uh, Heather… You, being psychic and all, should obviously know that Harold is a stuffed something-or-another with a button for an eye and a limited capacity for eccentricity, right?
Pete… Stock up on coffee, also? I’ve been trying to stock up on gas, but my car keeps using it up. Money seems like that too, the more you have in your hand, the faster it goes out.
brig… Are we talking about fortune-tellers? You pay them, they tell you about wishful fortunes to come and then spend their newly-found (“earned”?) fortune in hand, as mentioned previously. Seems like a better name might be “fortune-seller”…ah, but I’m being cynical.
And, speaking of predictions, I finished a second fan-art piece (aka, sketchbook page) that has a lot more detail and, what with FF coming right before Mom’s Day, may find myself at the Cartoonery with some extra copies on hand. And if brig liked the first, she’ll love the second.
Brig, just wanted to say this is one of my fav stopping places on my daily comic jaunts around the interwebs. Thanks for the smiles and the comments back 🙂
Heather… My heart just jumped! I love it when you say that! Thank you. I hope that Squid Row is a bright spot… it makes me happy… and I love the comments! Keep’em comin’… (ya’ll)!
And bring on the Fan Art… it’s fun to see the interpretations!

Scrappin’ for change, once you’ve scrapped enough it feels like it’s free.
Jack,
I gotta disagree. After all that scrapping, it fells hard earned.

Oh geez…for a second I thought she was going to pluck Harold’s eye and try to pass it off as a quarter!

Only you, Dada…

I’ve been thinking about trying to make a Harold doll… don’t know if I have the right type of button in my button tin though.
Pash: go to tomorrow’s toon and check the comments.
