Cat Person
AIL… my cat is a lap kitty… she will take advantage of any available lap she can find. It’s hard to disturb a happy sleeping cat… and I will often be “trapped” by my cat, Mouse… it’s a Mouse Trap. (Wah-wah).

I have a house full of them, and they all tend to either want my lap, the space between me and my monitor, or a good perch when I am in bed, trying to sleep. There’s been mornings I’ve woken up, feeling like Gulliver, pinned to the bed by cats that have taken guard perches around the blankets.
At least this is a nice cat! Upgrade in that department
The look of utter astonishment on a cat’s face when I gently pick it up from my lap and set it on a pillow on the couch before walking away, is well worth any guilt feelings I might have.
Ya, that’s my Turtle (yes, I named a cat Turtle). She just kind of assumes her way onto your lap and starts purring like a maniac.
He, Valium is an elbow kitty. He will kidnap my left arm and purr like a lawnmower. You can tell when I’m working with the cat on my arm, I generally staert weriting likze thazt.
Not a cat person, either. I just pick them up and respectfully deposit them elsewhere.
Ahhhh…. a princess cat pillow… yes, a good way to relocate a cat without getting that annoyed look.
Turtle and Valium… what a great name for a cat(s)! THAT could be a great comic strip!
Gulliver… also a great name!
My cat, Mouse, will slow motion into a lap… especially if she feels that a lapcat is not welcome at that time (say, if I’m eating on the couch).
