Capped
When I was a kid, I wanted a “lucky rabbit’s foot” … Having seen it in a quarter machine at the grocery store, I sort of became obsessed with getting one. I’d ask for a quarter and when I was unlucky enough to get a stupid sticker or a useless plastic clip on robot or something, I would be so disappointed. When I finally DID get a rabbit’s foot (not in a quarter machine) and (it was dyed red for some reason), I hadn’t any luck atoll. Poo.
I don’t know why anyone would consider a rabbits foot lucky, after all they sure weren’t lucky for the rabbit.
I love Randie’s face in the last panel! You should make some meme with some of the suid row caracters haha.
Gramy Pashakitty I totally agree with you. I would look for four leaves cloves to find a good luck charm.
Soooo… one man’s treasure is another woman’s… lucky charm?
Now we know why they call him Odd.
I had a rabbits foot as a kid, but it always made me feel sad when I felt it cause I didn’t realize it would feel like an actual…rabbits foot. (I think I lost it somewhere later)
As for the comic, I don’t think this is going to work. An odd person needs a normal for balance. (Just like a normal needs an odd) Two odds tend to be at odds with each other. 😛
A lucky charm doesn’t have to be GOOD luck, after all…… but one man’s woe is another man’s weal.
Spray that thing for bugs.
Floating head Todd!
Grammy… for sure… rabbits are fast little buggers… maybe you’re considered luck to have caught one…. assuming of course you don’t play fair and have a bullet-shooter.
Ep… good idea. Favorite saying and quotes from our hero, Randall… and Grace, of course.
EofO… yah… now ya’ll get it.
jump88… If you lose a rabbits foot, that would be bad luck x2? And Two odds don’t make a right.
Lady J… Randie and I don’t really believe in luck. But ask any baseball player and they’ll argue.
Jack… smudge it will sage… evil spirits lurk… ha ha!
Dada… Floatie has an entirely new meaning…
I’m Catholic so I’m not supposed to believe in ‘luck’ per se. That said, I’ve met too many people who are chronically lucky and unlucky not to. I don’t believe in rubbing a good luck charm, but I do believe some people just live charmed existences (God’s will or random chance). Others exist specifically to get the shaft…… like my good friend Trevie, who prepares and plans and saves and still gets stomped into the ground every month or so! It’s actually kind of funny, hehehehehehehe.
Today’s strip appears to have another day’s strip peeking through the middle. Or is it just me?
Lady J… Baseball players crack me up with the little rituals they do at the plate. They kiss their gold cross, make lines in the dirt, or what have you… Catholics do some strange things, too. I was converted Catholic, but I am not ONLY of the Catholicness (once a Catholic, always a Catholic) … and saying the same exact prayers over and over until they lose their meaning doesn’t make sense to me. And so carrying a St. Christopher medal for protection, to me, feels like a good luck charm. I am not putting down Catholicness… I just think there are some things…
Jim… hmmm… I think it’s you. Smiles!
