(I always wonder if people who recorded programs over the years were waiting for just such a website as YouTube, so they can disseminate their collection…?)
Poor Randie, though, having a case of the blue devils… (From Wikipedia:) The adjective blue has been associated with despondency and sadness since the 16th century. The noun “the blues” has been with us since 1741. The blues is a shortening of blue devils, demons popularly thought to cause depression and sadness. Blue devils have been around since 1616.
Hey! That’s a great “elephant story!” Blue ink! Hee hee, I see where the toon today would remind you of it.
Yah, Youtube is amazing for that kind of stuff! I was watching some “Banana Splits” the other day. I really liked it as a kid.
And thanks for the Wiki-history lesson.
I do know how Randie feels, poor girl. Maybe she should read this – it might help 🙂
(OK, I am aware that Randie is actually fictional – I’m capable of separating fantasy from reality, thank goodness – but it might help other people with the blues!)
for me, its usually music that can get me out of a funk. I’ll diddle around on the bass, or go to a live show of some local band. gets me moving, so long as the music is up beat, no crooners, or love ballads as that just makes it worse.
Smurf song = audio herpes… thanks Duff!
No, no, Randie IS real… shuh!
Cartoons DO help… cookies do too, until the guilt kicks in.
Psalms would do well… she ought to remember that next time she gets them blues.
And music, too… some uppity swing or even a little electro-dance-techno. Where’s Kai?
that was friday for me, nothing could shake it. mostly a product of the dreams I had the previous night.
i’m blue ! da da di da da da la da di !
;p
you saw it coming huh ?
Hooray for YouTube! Randie’s condition reminded me of a show from my childhood – and a YT user posted the title sequence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxXSUyc3BAU

Awww, poor Randie. We all have days like that. You’re blue all day, and sometimes you don’t even know WHY, so it’s impossible to shake! Rawr!
Randie should watch at least two cartoons and call Ryan in the morning :).
She should open the book of Psalms. There’s tons of awesome blues-chasers to be read in there!
