Birthday SOP
Every year when my birthday rolls around I am stressed with the notion of birthday activities… I suffer from this thing called indecision and can’t decide what to do on the most special of days. Randie seems to have a default birthday situation. Eh, hospital visits don’t do much for me, though.
There’s only one thing I do for sure on my birthday, and that is: not work. That day is always booked as a day off 🙂 I can’t actually afford to do anything, but the cost of doing nothing is nothing, so it’s all good 🙂
Maybe she should skip the KBW?
My balogna has a first name, it’s C H E A P. My balogna has a second name, it’s C H E A P.
Oh, I have to eat it everyday and if you ask my why I’ll say…
‘cuz I can’t afford to eat the best B A L O G N A.
Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve had the exact same meal: Cheeseburgers, Friench Fries, and A&W Root Beer, with Angel Food cake as my birthday cake. It’s not quite as special as it was back in the 60s, but these days our boys get a big kick out it, so I continue the tradition. It’s fun, and has taken on a whole new kind of special!
Other than that, we plan a movie or something, but don’t get overly caught up.
Mine’s this Saturday, and we’re planning the usual: Pizza, cake, and a movie marathon. Recipe for good times :)!
My choice would be Cherry Garcia…
I did have a rather good post-birthday celebration in 2009, when I ended up with no less than THREE big carrot cakes and a cute Domo toy (I actually squealed, hugged and kissed my former supervisor on the cheek when she revealed Easter Domo )
Pete & Meghan: Those sound like great celebrations (although I’ll have A&W cream soda in place of the root beer, please!).
Meggie…. Happy Birthday! By now… it’s belated! Happy Belated!!!
