Bike Week
I usually bicycle to work. I have me a little clown bike (a Brompton-Made in the UK) and I enjoy the 10 or so minutes it takes me to get from home to the office.
It really is bike week here in Monterey County where I live… and thank you, Chris Fletcher for reminding me.
This year, the little breakfast feeding station is a bit further out than my commute. Meh, they don’t serve Pop’n Tarts… so I will pass. …. or do they?
Depends … was she eating them all at once, or one at a time? ๐
I have so got to get back into biking. Back in my college days, the only transportation I had was a 10-speed. It was a mile to Disneyland, a mile back to the apartment, six miles to CSUF, then six miles back. Five days a week made it a total of 80 miles a week plus all the other riding I did. It was fair to say I was in shape back then.
Today… not so much in shape. ๐
Off camera humor is one of my favorite elements! My mind filling in the punchline of Randie frantically shoving bananas in her face is awesome.
Grey… I will leave that up to the viewer… but I have a pretty good picture as to what is happening.
It’s funny… I was at the grocery last week and saw something I HAD to buy for the First Friday munchies… Spongebob Cheese Nips. I am not always that gullible, but I love Spongebob! My point, I have a habit (and I’m not proud of it) of stuffing a bunch of Cheese Nips (that I have rather infrequently) in my mouth at one time, and chewing it like a cow. Does anyone else to this? …or is it just me. Probably just me.
Pete… I find that biking and walking is what keeps me in shape. I SIT all day long at my drawing table. And I just love to eat … and so the two work against me. I find that the 10 minutes at the start and end of my day, and a sometimes walk after dinner make me feel better, too! I love the longer days of summer where you can fit all that in!
Jack… I am glad you are enjoying that mental image. I find that sometimes it’s best to leave things up to the imagination.
Look how shocked they are!…that person is just EATING them bananas, right?
As long as she’s just eating them, and not smoking them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bananadine
I bike to work every day – 3 miles one way. But while my legs are in good shape, it doesn’t do much for my stomach!
Dada… bananas are tasty… five bananas … hmmm.
macsafu (welcome to the comments!): Ha! Mellow Yellow! I always wondered about that song!
… and yah, legs of steel, belly of goo…. I’m in the same boat… or on the same bike… wuh?
Wow, they actually set up feeding stations for bike riders? How nice is that? I’m assuming that Randie was good enough to bike over to the banana bar, although that was never established. No pop-tarts at a health conscious feeding stand? Imagine that.
