Yeah well our first married apartment wasn’t much better. It was considered not only cute but de rigeur for couples starting out to have nothing but a card table and folding chairs, a wire spool for a coffee table, a cement block and board bookshelf, and a stereo that could sterilize frogs at 3000 yards. I sometimes look back on those simple times with fondness!
Apartments for people under 28 all have that kinda look :). My Mum told me when my Aunt got married(fairly young) all the furniture they had was a pull-out couch, a lamp, and the box the lamp came in, which was used as a table :).
I like the look of those apartments though, they have a certain independant and individual feel. Oddly artistic. It’s like you can feel the “way back when…” memories being made.
Aaaahhhh, the single man’s apartment. Where building material and industrial containers are considered furniture!
