Beach Irony
There isn’t a whole lot of sun in the summer months here in Monterey. In fact, the loveliest time of year is early fall. The marine layer is blown off shore and the sun makes for warmer temps. Of course by fall, all the tourists have gone home leaving us locals to have the fabulous beaches all to ourselves.
(Yelling:) OK, so who let the cat out of the bag about fall being the best time in Monterey? Now they’re all going to show up *sigh* π
No fear i won’t turn up there. π
Don’t worry Astragali, I’m too poor to go anywhere but work and school. lol No money to travel anywhere else.
Spent the weekend in LA and Ventura, looking forward to swimming. Just for us, the weather turned record cold! π
Hmm. Given the responses to what I’ve said, I should point out that I don’t actually live in CA! I’m over in New England…
(Note to self: The “winking smiley” doesn’t convey as much information as you think it does…)
It’s been a colder than usual summer here and in many places in California. So it will be interesting to see what our fall weather will turn out to be. Can you say global warming?
Global warming? I thought this strip was fiction, not fantasy π
(Note to readers: That was an attempt at humour – I do believe global warming exists…)
I don’t know what you’re on about! I was in Monterrey for four days (Aug 2 – 5), and the weather was glorious! Temps in the sixties and seventies, and no humidity! Compared to Maryland (temps in triple digits, and relative humidities in excess of 85%), it was nirvana! I was in shorts and short-sleeves the entire time!
We Califorinans tend to be a thin-blooded bunch.
DCS: I’m on about $9.16 an hour *rimshot*
DCS… You planned your trip just right! …that wasn’t normal Monterey weather behavior… it only lasted a few days and it was back to “our usual.” Hope you had fun whilst a’ visiting!
Hehe! Pretty funny, especially since I was touristing around Toronto for the past weekend :)! Just got back today. Why do the most fun things tire you out the most?
