Aspirin
It usually happens just like this at my house. As a result, I have a tendency to sometimes buy TOO MUCH of something and keep an overstock behind the scenes…. vitamins, coffee, tp…. so in a sense, it’s feast or famine. Sigh.

I just loaned my aspirin bottle to someone so they could refill another one. Haven’t gotten it back yet, but I hardly ever use it myself.
*heh* With a house full of sons, we buy things stamped “Large” and “Economy”, using coupons and sales whenever possible. As a result we’re feast AND famine. We have 8 bottles of Frank’s hot sauce because when two were purchased with a couple other things on a list, you got a 10lb bag of frozen chicken wings. In the meantime, we’re out of a few canned goods and shaving cream because they slipped under the radar because of lack of coupons/sales from the last bulk purchase we made.
Aspirin? I use Aleve and had a couple awesome coupons recently that I could use with manufacturer’s coupons AND Aleve was on sale. So we have, like, 2,000 tablets of Aleve right now. *lol*
Ah, priorities.
Robert… Loaner aspirin… new concept to me…
Pete… There are only three of us at my house, but we have “the big blue thing” in the garage; it was originally built for computers, but is now a storage unit for things like extra toilet paper, baking soda, cat foods, paper towels… things you buy in bulk at Costco. It works fine.
Chug… yes, Randie DOES have odd priorities. But tell me some of you ain’t done the same thing! I don’t NEED aspirin at the moment… but I DO need the Pop’n Tarts lickity split…
As a chronic back and neck pain sufferer, no I haven’t. I’d rather go without food entirely then forgo buying ibuprofen.
I buy ibuprofen bottles in pairs. One bottle for home, one for the office. That way, I’m never without pain meds.
Dang I know the feeling… fortunatly, I have a co worker who lived in Canada and stil has a big bottle of painkiller in her handbag. Never saw that many pill in a single place in my life.
Val, is strongly against the THERE WILL BE 8 PILL BY BOX policy.
I get a real headache about once every ten or fifteen years, so I don’t even KNOW where my bottle of aspirin is. But I DO know that you can get some stuff from the Zee Medical guy (the outfit that supplies businesses with first aid supplies) called Pain-Aid, that will knock the living crap out of any headache on the planet! It’s a mix of aspirin, tylenol, and a buffer that for some stupid reason, no other company in business has ever chosen to market. But it Works!!! You just have to find the guy driving the truck and flag him down. I caught him at a stoplight one day years ago and bought a box right on the street!
Chug … my condolences. Back pain is yucky!
Yat…. I do this somewhat. Small bottle at work, some in my backpack, big bottle at house. Spread them around.
Val… your co-worker sounds like a walking Pharmacie…
Rich… Zee Medical Guy… do you think he’s Canadian? I will keep my eyes peeled… is that a legit sale situation? Selling meds out of the back of a truck? hmmm….
Oh, wow. This used to happen to me all the time back when I would drink and fight all night. I’d eat pain killers like popcorn then wonder why I had an empty bottle kicking around, then go to buy some and grab more booze instead. I was really, really stupid not ten years back……
Zee Medical stops at our building now & then to refill our First Aid cabinet. Next time I catch him, I’ll see if I can score some Pain-Aid. I used to have to do First Aid when I worked at spreckels sugar, so I’ve known about them for decades – best kept secret in the medical industry!
Applying pressure on the blood vessels at the base of the jaw can sometimes alleviate headaches.
Proper hydration works wonders.
The Auld Grump – who has had six migraines in his life.
And. Remembers. Every. Single. One. (Pray the gods that there be no seventh.)
But Randie’s hair looks really good. Detailed and very colorful. Must be the conditioner.
