Art Supply Trivia
I love art supplies. I love my toys. So working in an art supply store was actually pretty fun. It’s like having inspiration around you all the time… except for all the pesky things like sales reports, order forms and inventory stuff.
I also love art history and nearly minored in it at UCSC. I fall into in when I can.
Some of those fake, elimination answers are pretty funny and should be right anyway. Still, got three out of five. You ought to hold off on the answers and allow for some fun dis’cuss’in. The shame here is that this is a really nicely done comic, and your local paper folks won’t see it.
So, how’d the mini-comic and coffee day go? Anything to post?
I’ve been putting together a new cartoon. Intended to be a very short demonstration, it’s gettting to be pretty large. It’s called “theft” and over Fri, Sat and today I’ll be adding some 10 to 12 frames to it. And, yup, coffee has been and will still be involved.
I’ll claim four-and-a-half, I missed the second answer for tempera. I didn’t know the paint tube, but reasoned it out based on need.
I didn’t get it at first, thought it was one of those “words mean many different things” kind of lists.
Did a double take on the second one, thinking “that’s tempUra, not tempEra …” which was when the first bell went off in my head. Seeing the fourth one clinched it since obviously only one answer applied, that’s when I realized it was a multiple-choice quiz, not a summary. 😀
You want me to take a test, I need forewarning so I can load up on coffee first, darn it!
stick… thanks… I posted the answers because in the future, when I print a book, it works better if the answers are included in the toon. Boom done. I’m thinking ahead.
Beetles… I was actually surprised with the American guy inventing the tube. I credited those guys at Windsor-Newton… when in fact, they bought the patent.
Grey… next time, I will give you an advanced warning… shall I give you some time to trot out for some joe, then?
Whoever ordered the 70 tubes of that red was mad…but Randie is (wait for it) madder.
