Buying art supplies for someone else can be a tricky thing. There’s cheap-o stuff for the beginner and then the mid-range quality, and then there’s the super nice top dollar stuff. Not knowing the difference means you gatta talk to somebodys.
Poured her first bronze at 5? eeek…that’s gonna be a kid to get the expensive stuff for…just think, that poor mom…its gonna be 10 more years till that kid can get a job to pay for their own art supplies!!! double eek!

And it’s always so hard to gauge a child’s skill level based on their opinion. Most parents want to brag, or truly do see their child as “gifted” when they are average at best. Squish’s example of what the 5-year old has done is the best way to go.

if spill has deep enough pockets, maybe a 3d printer would let her make things without the infrastructure and particulate risks of traditional bronze casting. if she’s precocious enough to work in bronze, she should have little trouble with the user friendly printer cad programs available now.
